except PP is only 28 in the comics, that gives you 4 - 5 years to keep him as "the youngest member of the Avengers" - which he has ALWAYS been.
The whole story aspect of PP in the Avengers, is that he's a child trying to play with grown ups.

For a real reboot and a welcome back to the Marvel Universe, as sad as I will be, they might give us an already older Peter Parker in civil war. In the new spider man he will die, and it will be the origins of Morales who takes his mantel.

I dont think we ever see Miles Morales as the sole spider-man.
I'd like to see Parker working at Horizon Labs, being smart and stuff. Working at the Bugle is kind of illogical for a guy with his intellect.
however, for those who like Garfield and want the continuity to continue...Parker's parents were SHIELD agents in the comics. It could work within TASM stuff, but I expect them to recast.

So Peter will get unmasked in Civil War and the public will know his secret identity. What I find the most interesting here is that we never really got to see this play out longterm in the books because Mephisto erased his marriage and the unmasking was part of that erasing. So, at the end of the day, Parker wasn't known to be Spiderman for very long at all.
The movies won't have the same outcome, so how do you go forward with Spiderman films with his ID publically known?
Maybe the Scarlet Witch will come into play here to erase memories?

What's the big deal about people knowing who he is? Doesn't the public pretty much know the identity of all the Avengers already?

Iron Man- rich, famous, loves attention
Thor- He's a God
Capt America- Never had a secret id but you can see how being Capt America doesn't allow for him to have a personal life.
Hulk- Banner typically lives like a fugitive
Spiderman- He's Peter Parker who puts on a costume and does his Spiderman job here and there and then off goes the mask and he's Peter again. You take that away and he lives in Avengers Tower and what? Where's the drama?

as for the mephisto spin - who is to say that with Doc Strange on the way, that you wont see him introduced and see a variation of that happen int he films.
