Sony dropped the first look trailer for the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel. SIAP, but didn’t see it.

You really think this is about to be two and a half hours? It’s an animated film baw You sure you don’t have this confused with the live action?
On another note, super stoked for this but there’s no way in hell they top the first. I don’t even know if this needed a sequel. It’s one of the best Spider Man media’s that’s ever come out.

I mean yeah I'm likely gonna watch still. But I really wanted the first one to be a 1-and-done. That movie was so perfect. I would have been completely fine with no sequel.

Completely agree. So much heart and so damn funny and perfectly captured the essence of comic Spidey better than anything other than the PS4 Spider Man game

The first film’s soundtrack will be hard to beat. It was one dope track after the next. I’m cautiously optimistic because Into was one of the best comic movies ever, animated or live action.

It didn't need a sequel but after the surprise success of the first one we were guaranteed to get a one. The first Spider-Verse movie was finding a diamond in a cow pie. They are going to keep looking for diamonds in that cow pie until they are sure there aren't more.
The good news seems to be that they took their time and seem to have done this right. Will it be as good as the first one? That's a pretty steep task. But if it is close to the first one in quality than we are still in for a treat.

I'm sure it will be great. How could it not be after the first one. Calling it the "Spider-Verse" though, I was hoping these movies would sort of be an anthology type thing where they followed a new character with a new story in these movies. I was pretty excited to see Spidey 2099 show up, and I was hoping he'd be the lead.
