Overall I'd give it a D+. Stupid storyline for having so much potential.

With that being said, each episode had at least one legit laugh out loud moment. And frick Tony is the man.

I thought the stuff with the chimpstronaut and dogstronaut was legitimately funny. "That frickin chimp better keep his mouth shut" .

Overall, the series didn't meet my expectations (which were high), but I still thought it was decent.

Too bad you refuse to give the show a shot. China is the clear macro enemy of the season, and space force has several confrontations with them due solely to the aggression by the Chinese. Sounds like you and the show are on the same page

I'll watch it at some point. It better be fairly good or I'll drop it like a hammer. I've done that on a number of Netflix shows. Another Life and S2 Altered Carbon comes to mind.

Certainly fair. I can understand if the show isn’t for everyone, but avoiding it because of a perception that it is anti-trump propaganda is just flat out wrong.

Fair warning: episode 1 is very weak. But if you don’t like episode 2, you can probably stop there. 2 is a fairly reasonable depiction of the rest of the season. It’s not prime The Office by any stretch, but it was a solid turn-off-your-brain type show IMO

I can assure you I'm a mature sonofab**tch with a mature sonofab**tch attitude and discernment. But I appreciate you counsel in the same manner I accept counsel from my kids!

This was a good melt. We rarely get petulance like that on this particular subforum. I give you a 9.3 because you didn't really stick the landing. But still a solid effort.

I’m not petulant. I’m just old and mentally exhausted. You have to search deeper for self deprecating humor. You will when you are as mature as me.

The first episode isn’t great but it’s actually a great show

It’s get really good after a while.

I agree with this. It may have been everyone talking negatively about it, but I’ve thought it’s pretty solid. On the ninth episode now.

I still love Ben Schwartz’ character.

it really isn’t amusing outside of a handful of lines

cracks at the coast guard and "India? What a loser, sex is for winners." did have me laughing a healthy amount.

This. Took me a day or two to watch episode 2. I wound up binge watching episodes 3-10. It's definitely no Office, but both that and Parks had pretty mediocre first seasons compared to what came in later seasons.
