Sons of Anarchy is the best series I've ever seen

I never get into TV shows. Can't get into game of thrones, only watched two seasons of walking dead, and enjoyed breaking bad for a season before just not picking it back up. Sons of anarchy is awesome though and I feel like there's never a dull moment. I'm on season four and started watching it two days ago. The only time so far that's been tough to get through is the IRA in Ireland. How did everyone else like the show? I think I like it so much because it reminds me of the early seasons of the sopranos. I've also watched it with a handle in hand.

SOA was good for awhile but really dips in quality in later seasons. Still a solid show but it never really lived up to it potential.
Do yourself a favor, start watching The Shield. SOA is kind of the spiritual successor to The Shield (a lot of the same guys worked on both) but The Shield is superior in almost every way.

Homeland and Sons of Anarchy are the only two shows I can relate to.

GoT is fantastic, The Wire is great so far, The Office was amazing, South Park is hilarious, Breaking Bad was groundbreaking and incredible, Mad Men was pretty good, Luther is one of the best things I've ever seen and Top Gear is the funniest, most interesting and well put together show I've watched.
And those are all recent. There's a million great shows to watch. SoA is really pretty shitty compared to the greatness that's on now or recently ended. Much less past shows that were equally wonderful.

I've seen and love all of these other than The Wire. I need to give it another shot, because I want to believe it's better than Breaking Bad like the board insists

SOA's first 2 seasons were very good TV....The Ireland season (3 I think) I didn't enjoy too much when watching it live, but rewatching it after the series ended then the Ireland season was not nearly as bad for some reason.....Sadly though at around season 5 it starts dipping a good bit in quality

The show started out great, but declined every season after season 2 IMO.
By the end it is a joke how easily and how numerous they kill people. The shield is the same way, but a whole lot more of a pay off in the end.

I'm #TeamShield and I should have liked the show - couldn't stand that kid. Didn't watch after the first few episodes. Absolutely cannot stand the actor or character (Jax?).

I didn't notice the "Jesus Christ" propensity when watching the show live. I've been watching it on Netflix with a coworker and it's laughable at this point.
