Your claim is that Disney made more than 150% box office in the first week of theatrical release in non-box office revenue?

No. I'm not surprised you missed on that.

shite. Why are all these studios concerned about butts in seats then.

BTW, did you know that Star Wars Merch sales are down 40% than where they were pre TLJ?

Oh really? And how much did they make?

So you don't know how Memorial Day weekend works either.

And lets say it grossed $101 million in a weekend. What the frick is your stupid arse going to say if it can't gross $450 million total? Who gives a frick about the technicality,? It's only tards like you that care about technicalities over the bottom line. The bottom lime is Kennedy and Johnson are fired, and then I'll piss on your stupid corpse.

I won't care. You'll care, but I won't. Kennedy and Johnson are in it for a trilogy, and I'll watch all three.

When you really care about the technicalities, you're on the losing end. Try this with a boss when your bottom line is totally fricked and see if you're not immediately fired. If you were talking with your boss like you're talking with me, have fun living on food stamps. Seriously tell your future interview that you did somewhat ok at first but finished 30% to the initial projections. I'm sure you'd be hired very quickly.

They call it Memorial Day weekend for a reason.

Tell your boss that 75 is 8 less than 101, then repeat it several times before admitting you're a moron. Preferably do it with company money. Report back when you're done.

And that doesn't change the bottom line, you retard. Your boss would light you on fire for this. How can the Avengers have 18 fricking movies, break 2 records in a single year, and for Star Wars to be where it is? Because they make a quality product.

Are you going to substantively answer to ANYTHING or you are just going to put coy retorts?

“Disney made money already on this.”

“How? They spend ~$250 million and made 80 million to date.”

“You are so stupid, you probably think box office is the only way they make money”

“So you are saying in the first week they made more money from the non box office revenue* than they did in the movie theater?”

“No. You are stupid for even thinking that.”

Listen, it’s a simple equation.

In order to make a profit, box office plus everything else has to exceed 250 million minimum (for this movie). Conventional knowledge indicaticates the actual break even point is double that.

When I am sure everyone agrees it will make a marginal amount of money by the end of this, it is clear that they are missing their expectations dramatically.

So if you are saying they already made a profit, then obviously these alternative streams more than made up the shortcomings of the box office. Except when pointed out how much of a shortcoming it is, you crawfish from that too.

***(BTW, the actual number right now is double box office to make your statements truthful, I was being generous at 150% due to fog of accounting)

It’s not whether Solo is a SJW bullshite movie

TLJ was a SJW bullshite movie, and Solo is suffering the consequences of the backlash to that movie.

You just can't shite all over your fans and one of the greatest characters in the history of Cinema like that and expect to get away with it.

Is that something "on the top of your head?" It doesn't need to change the "bottom lime."

Moron.

Why do you suppose holiday weekends are reported differently in this industry?

I haven't called you stupid once. You started off with a condescending reply. That's all you're getting from me in return.

And you back this up with nothing, simpleton. Everything we say to you is simply technicality to you. You clearly have never worked before, and if you have, you look something like this:

To brag and over inflate numbers.

I have seen movie projects cancelled because too much of their profit margin was in the non theater side. It’s not “money left on the stable”. Attendance trends are such that studios are focusing on remakes so much because they are scared to risk on anything else. “Money on the table” is for the non box office streams. They gauge a very high percentage of determining movie profitability on box office alone.

And you only have technicalities to point it out with. Meanwhile I'm very direct why on you're a retard, but it's always some dumb technicality with you that means nothing. My bottom line reasoning (ie: anyone who has an IQ above room temperature) goes over your head. Your technicality reasoning is moronic to say the least.

And you're lacking on that. $250 million plus hundreds of millions on marketing and it was expected to make at least a billion.

Well, to be fair, I was asking you to clairify in a stupid statement. Which you still defended “with your condescending reply.”

Very very very few movies revoup 100% of production costs in their first weekend. And they are the center of raving accolades. Jurassic World is one example.

That doesn’t even favor in the fact that Disney doesn’t even see 100% of box office.

I like how you assert that Disney’s 50-60 million BO + whatever the frick else is greater than the 250-300 million they put in with no backing or evidence but you want to be a sour puss if it is not being accepted as a scholarly submission.

All I asked (starting with a tongue in cheek joke) was for you to explain the point. And you contradict yourself with the “diminutive payback”

You should get out of internet discussion with a thin skin like that.
