So Netflix's docuseries "Evil Genius" looks incredible...

This baffling true crime story starts with the grisly death of a pizza man who robs a bank with a bomb around his neck -- and gets weirder from there.
Gonna binge the shite out of it tonight.

Done by the same guys that did the Wild Wild Country.

Started watching it when I got home late last night and couldn't sleep.
Watched a couple of episodes ... totally hooked.
I mean I remember when the whole Pizza Man Bank Robbery went-down. Now I'm like, holy crap, this show is absolutely incredible. Going to try to get-in a few more episodes this weekend. Thanks for the tip.

Just finished Ep4 ... all I can say is ho.li.fuk ho.li.fuk ho.li.fuk.
How in the hell do these people solve it when the FBI, ATF, State and Local police could not?
Total surprise ending.

Watched the entire thing. Thought it was well done, but had to take a few breaks. The interviews with the narcissists (the bitch and the big, lazy jew boy who was infatuated with her) were OOC.

SPOILERS
Was there still an open ended question as to whether wells was involved at all? I mean all of the suspects were pathological liars. They implied he was involved but then that hooker said he wasn’t.

Spoiler:
No, Wells was the fall guy, they planted the cane gun (1 shot shotgun) so when he died they could not be charged with murder.
Noticed he was set up by the prostitute, and when they showed his list in the show it was easy to tell that would be the key to solving the case. Why for the life of me the police, ATF and FBI could not see the obvious I do not know. She set him up, knowing he was not the smartest person and loved solving scavenging hunts, Bill and Armstrong used this to hook him in when he delivered the pizza. Wells loved scavenging hunts and this is why he did not go to the police when they put the collar on him.
The next key to the case was the second pizza delivery guy and was he killed to close anything he knew? That is the only open door left in the case. Was the second pizza delivery guy the back up plan? Also this goes back to the list and why was the list never followed up on in the Wells case better.

Great series.
The first episode is so surreal with more twists & bombshells to keep you hooked so want to know more throughout the series. Satisfying conclusion, too, unlike Making of a Murderer which was left open-ended.
One gripe as a viewer trying to be entertained: I know the Evil Genius main subject was repeatedly depicted as ultra-charming through multiple credible testimonials, so I believe there must be some truth to it, but sadly, there's not one shred of video or audio proof in this doc to at least provide some empathy. Comes across as a completely unlikable ear-piercing narcissistic POS that I couldn't spend one minute alone with.

Ok. Just finished it. I think the prostitute was covering for Brian Wells. Hell, she thinks the kid she has is his. She's just trying to clear his name.
It makes no sense that they order a pizza and Wells is the one that delivered it. Too much of a coincidence.
I think he was in on it and was suppose to meet up with them to divvy up the money after the heist. The scavenger hunt papers was to throw the cops/feds off if he got caught.
Also he was way too calm, waiting in line/grabbing a sucker, at the bank if he had just been put in a neck bomb by people he just delivered pizzas to.
Rothenstein made the bomb live, in case Wells got caught, so he would never tell on them.
I also believe they probably would have killed Wells anyway or just let the bomb go off because he was a liability.
Bottom line, I feel they were all in on it but Wells was expendable and a patsy.

Is that about that murder/robbery/bomb in Pennsylvania?
The podcast Case File did a good series about that crime. Absolutely nuts. Don't want to spoil anything, but it's as wild as anything I've ever heard.

I get a bit mixed up on the timelines, but her interview took place around 2013ish, right? If so, I think that she could have been saying that he was innocent so that Marge would be looking at getting the death penalty. It would have been some pretty strong revenge for the prison spat they had.
And did the hooker not get any prison time for the robbery/death? She admitted to recruiting/finding Wells, so it certainly seems like she should have.
