I won't watch a second of SNL due to many reasons, but if Twitter is pissed at him, that's a good thing.
Burr basically is an honorary black man with his spousal choice and his Chappelle's Show connection. These facts and his attitude let him get away with a lot. That's also a good thing. Comedy needs more edgy angry, non PC voices.

It’s pretty wild how good this was knowing it’s likely a very very rough draft of a set since he hasn’t been able to do stand up in the last 6 months
He had one joke that kind of bombed and he was like “uhhh pushing through that” which is shite that happens all the time when these big comedians start a tour and figure out what works and what doesn’t

I saw him in New Orleans pre-COVID. He did the gay pride and white women sets there, and they killed. Two gay black guys sitting next to us and they laughed their asses off.

The monologue was fine, but overall the episode was bad. The Sam Adams thing was the best skit.
