Yes,

A lot of us older folks thinks it sucks now. Maybe you don't.

But once upon a time, it didn't.

What is your all-time favorite (not who you think is objectively best):

Cast Member - Bill Hader
Weekend Update Anchor - Norm MacDonald
Writer (Might have to base it off their on camera work unless you know which sketches are written by whom) - Conan (Tina Fey a very close second)
Host (one-or-two-timer)
Host - Several episodes
Musical Guest Elvis Costello - the original "Radio-Radio" and the one with the Beastie Boys
Skit Matt Foley - only two with Farley...is that a series?
Skit series

I am working on my list.

Cast Member - Probably Eddie Murphy. Farley second.
Weekend Update Anchor - Norm feels easy, but Chevy Chase was terrific.
Writer - Conan
Host - Several episodes - John Goodman
Musical Guest Elvis Costello - the original "Radio-Radio" was the most interesting, and obviously for non music readobs.
Skit - Dodge Stratus for a single hitter is fantastic.
Skit series - Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer or Celebrity Jeopardy

Cast Member - Phil Hartman
Weekend Update Anchor - Norm MacDonald
Writer - I don't know enough about who wrote what individual sketches but if 30 Rock is any indication I'd have to go Tina Fey.
Host - Dave Chappelle.
Host - Christopher Walken
Musical Guest Tracy Chapman.
Skit "Dysfunctional Family Dinner." Sarah Michelle Gellar with Will Ferrel and Cheri Oteri. It's not particularly good but for some reason I have always loved it. "I drive a Dodge Stratus!"

You're missing two important categories:

1. The best era
2. The best commercial parody

even Lorne Michaels has said the best period to you is when you were in highschool. While not completely true for me 2000-2004 mine is basically the beginning of the Will Ferrell era to when left.
