There are a hundred legitimate reasons for why race swapping an iconic character is ridiculous that have nothing to do with racism. It's just lazy to go right to that reason before anyone gives you a reason to, and it's why you constantly see push back anytime it's done.
Yet rather than stating those reasons and letting them stand on their own you felt the need to validate your stance by finding a black person that agreed with you. Seems desperate.
You kinda delegitimized the point you were trying to make by resulting to racial pandering

I didn't FIND one, I happened to have seen one last night after being exposed to his channel from this thread in the OP. I was probably 5 videos in before I even knew the guy WAS black! That only made it funnier, and of course made his criticisms less easy to refute by a wave of the hand and the assertion of racism. After enjoying the first few videos of his I watched, I went on a deep dive and watched nearly a year's worth of uploads form him, and I found that I agreed with him on nearly every subject. When the subject turned to race swapping characters, the videos of his I'd just watched popped to mind. The fact that he not only agreed with the take I've made many times here in the past but was also black was simply lagniappe.
And I've listed reasons for why race swapping iconic characters multiple times. For those desperate to see racism or sexism or (insert favorite phobia here) those reasons fall on deaf ears. They are unwilling or incapable of accepting there are plenty of reasons for this that do not fit the woke narrative for why there is pushback.
I asked Sammy but the question is open to all. When you close your eyes and picture Superman, Wonder Woman, Bruce Wayne, Joker, Captain America, Black Panther, Daredevil, Lex Luthor, Luke Cage, etc...what do you see? For each one, based on their decades of existing in print and in TV/movies, you have a solid idea of what they each look like. From their hair to their face to their eye color to their costumes or clothing. You know how tall they are and how muscular they are. Are they funny or brooding? Anything outside of those things alters the character from what made them iconic in the first place. When that happens, long time fans who only wanted to see these characters come to life on the big screen often times will refuse to accept these changes, because it's not what they want and it's ot the character they fell in love with or became of a fan of.
Why do we need to go through all of this pretending that we don't all see these characters in our mind's eyes the same way and are forcing ourselves to accept changes so as not to look like we're being mean or being racist or whatever?

Well that is certainly the optimistic view. The pessimistic view and the one that played out consistently across cultures ends either in State- sanctioned MURDER or at least looking the other way while one group kills another. Think unequal rights and a sort of reverse Bull Conner where one group has to keep it’s head down at all times or get punched/shot/fired/failed/turned down/murdered. We are clearly partially there now .
I prefer your more optimistic view. But we just might get the more tragic version. A culture doesn’t always heal itself, sometimes it commits suicide.
I only put forward that critical theory is implicitly self-defeating and people will eventually reject it when they find it builds nothing of value, but tears down everything. It can cause massive societal harm or be nothing but a blip on the radar depending on how well entrenched it becomes and how universally it is adopted.

Buttman and Robin are the original gay superheroes.

No one here
I wasn't implying that at all. But how could you possibly say this? What percentage of posters do you think you actually know? Even if you did, you don't really know what they're up to all the time. (Again, no implication, but there's no way you can say that with any kind of certainty.)

people's thoughts
Of course people complain day and night, and go on and on and on and on about how much they dislike this and that, they and them, her and him, ze and zir, xe and xem...
People can spend their free time finding pictures and videos, and talking about "them" day after day...
Doth protest too much? Methinks.
Your notion of "controlling thoughts" is quite queer...
What I referenced was directing those attitudes toward people along with violence.
Complaining means nothing to me without a balanced perspective...as I said the first time...when I said nothing about "controlling thoughts". What you think privately about all this is of no interest to me...

At the risk of pissing of sgallo3, here's a great recent video by the same guy I posted above talking about this exact issue. More than anything, the guy is seemingly a Tolkien guy and clearly knows his shite.
Mr. Frodo, are we gay?

Didnt think I was going to listen to that whole video but that was pretty good. He has a pretty level headed, knowledgeable view. I think its best I dont look up the article he is referring too. Hopefully Molly doesnt write for a publication anybody cares about.

Yeah...before I knew it yesterday and last night, I'd gone down a rabbit hole of his videos!
He has several more regarding Tolkien, one of which was about the Tolkien Society and their Woke get-together they recently had and another about his worries for what this may eventually mean for the Amazon series.
The Scouring of the Tolkien Society
The Desecration of Tolkien

If some people believe that Amazon has orchestrated its countless successes and made all its billions by listening to the opinions of small, organized fanboy groups, then those people are stupid.

Would you like to try that again? I don’t know what you’re trying to say. Everyone knows how Amazon made its money, and it has nothing to do with listening to small organized fanboy groups.

He impressed me with his knowledge of Tolkien lore, and I’m glad I found his videos. One positive of YouTube is how it will offer up suggestions to similar channels of interest after you subscribe to one area of interest.
