Travolta in Welcome Back Litter
Gabe Kaplan...not so much
Maybe Don Knotts over Andy Griffith?
He definitely had a better movie career after he left but his movies weren't all that special and then Three's Company.

Tom Hanks from Bosom Buddies.
The career equivalent of Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty

Who was the lead? I think he was pretty much a co lead, correct?

Bruce Willis - Moonlighting. Over Cyrillic Shepherd.
Pierce Brosnan - Moonlighting. Over Stephanie Zimbalist.

if you mean Remington Steele, he was the lead in that

I'd agree. He was already established, and was always a bigger star than Roseanne.

Here's one for you- Michael Imperioli and James Gandolfini
Not sure what Imperioli has done since Sopranos, but Since Gandolfini is dead it really shouldn’t apply to the OPs question.

Donald Glover has done pretty well.

He was also a producer and I think writer for Angie Tribeca which was one of the most cringe worthy things I’ve ever had the misfortune to watch.

Angie Tribeca would've been great on Adult Swim coming on after Children's Hospital and NTSF SD SUV. It feels way out of place around regular comedies.

Seems a co lead counts since he was sharing, series didnt bear his name in the title and he was a nobody at the time.
And if it's against the rules I can just be wrong

This is all very fluid so I think Hanks is acceptable.

But it was created by Carell and his wife (Carol from The Office). And with Rashida Jones, I had high hopes for it.
Interesting fact I discovered is that Rashida, Mike Schur and Dan Goor all went to Harvard together. Greg Daniels also went to Harvard, but earlier. That's The Office, Parks and Rec, Brooklyn 99, The Good Place in addition to other solid writing/producing credits.

Maybe I was being a little facetious with the Helms and Krasinski comparisons but God almighty,Steve Carell has just done cringe worthy garbage.WTF is he doing on Space Force? One episode he has an accent on the next he doesn't.I have no idea where's he's going with the character.Such
a waste for a talent like John Malkovich
He obviously done more work than Helms or Krasinski but I wouldn't hesitate to choose Helms over him for a lead in a comedy or Krasinski over him in a drama.
BTW,I thought he was great in the office but it just might end up being the highlight of his career...which isn't a bad thing for any actor.

Newkirk - Hogan's Heroes
Richard Dawson went to be the host of Family Feud for years as well as a supporting role in Running Man.

True, but Bob Crane was murdered only 7 years after Hogan's Heroes.

Carell...this one is debatable but Carell has put out some pretty awful work lately.

This is like saying Bob Odenkirk has had a better career than Bryan Cranston.
