Kimmel never said he was MAGA not once did he say that, he said that in the aftermath all the right winger including Trump tried to immediately paint the guy as left wing before there was even a suspect. That's literally it
man that's just flat out not what happened at all. I don't really even know what to say other than that. How can you debate with someone who is just factually wrong?

You called me out personally (out of the blue, I don't even know you) on a board that you do not frequent.
I feel like I only notice Sun God posting on this board, but OK.

Its like people have never seen the monologue. The joke was about maga being busy pointing fingers blaming everyone else to score political points, then doing a little grieving in between, not that the shooter was actually maga.
I think they are just being willfully obtuse because not even the fleuride in the water could make people genuinely believe he wasnt just making a joke about maga behavior.
Or they are just getting their opinion from people lying to them.

There was no joke. He was dead serious, which is why he was ready to double down and got suspended.

The fact you think I post on the political board says it all man
You just killed your argument without even realizing it
You are consumed by hatred and biases, or just trolling

Yes, late night shows are political satire and present themselves as such.
Well, they started off as such but at some point they became propaganda outlets that always favors one side.
But that's a separate issue than what this thread is about so I'll just leave it there.

I don't think you do either.
Well, how is Kimmel getting suspended by media companies a first amendment discussion?

You dont think the clip of Trump talking about the trucks over there was inserted for laughs?

Because the FCC made threats about investigating them if they didnt drop Kimmel.
The First Amendment prohibits the government from censoring speech. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is explicitly barred from interfering with freedom of expression in broadcasting, though it does have narrow authority to regulate content concerning obscenity, indecency, and hoaxes.

"We've hit a new low, over the weekend MAGA was telling the truth to score political points..."
That's what you're going with? That's the joke?
That doesn't make any sense. No one was trying to score political points on the right, they were simply pushing back against a 100% known lie because the left refused to accept any culpability.
The new low was the left taking a gay antifa guy and pretending he was anything other than a gay antifa guy.

Coincidentally the FCC Chair said that broadcasters should take Kimmel off of the air or he would do it, "the hard way."
The broadcast group that is asking the FCC to change the rules so that they can expand past the relegated number of stations JUMPED at the chance to pull Kimmel off of the air.
A second broadcast group needing FCC approvals raced to do the same, and demand apologies and money from Kimmel.
With the loss of national clearance for their advertisers, Disney pulled the plug.
In the aftermath, the FCC Chair celebrated the coincidence of the affiliate owners following his "polite suggestion".
"I didn't threaten him. I just suggested that it would be a shame if his store burned to the ground." - Tony Soprano

By saying they shouldn't pull the south park episode off the air because Kirk enjoyed it and posting video of Kirk saying he enjoyed it?
Looks like Kirk's company/friends agree with me.

Dunno. I think this list is pretty compelling too.

I don't understand television. Ok Kimmel's ratings are worse than Colbert's and he's been losing almost as much $$$ for many years... how do they stay on air losing millions. Make it make sense
