Then he realized it wasn’t lighting up because 51 gave up on their silo and were initiating the safeguard.
Lucas said this exact thing to Simms when he pulled the gun on Lucas in his mom's apartment.

If I had to guess, the safeguard is a bit more dramatic than flooding the silos. Solo’s silo didn’t completely flood in years. My guess is they have a way to remotely open the silo doors to flood it with poison air.
Still doesn’t make a whole bunch of sense, if you rebel and leave the silo, you’re going to die - so we’ll just kill you instead.
Also the writers and show runners are all over the place. Very inconsistent and doesn’t seem like it was mapped out fully or storyboarded very well.
I also thought the final scene was out of place and had to pause and make sure Apple didn’t change the show on me.
And the thought that the final scene was possibly coexisting with the silos did cross my mind, but to me the pez practically eliminates even the theory it would be possible.

Martins is in Georgetown also. You definitely don’t see the Capitol from the street.
He also mentioned he had fought in New Orleans right? So there has been/was a war on US soil before that scene.

quote:That seemed a bit ambiguous as to what he did in New Orleans. She’s listing his Master of Engineering and Army Corps of Engineers, while also teasing him about not humping an M16, when he mentions what we did in New Orleans.

At first I took it as some engineering accomplishment, but then considered since she’s teasing him about not being a real soldier, he’s referring to a battle.
ETA: And as a former 12B Combat Engineer, the mutual exclusivity she’s suggesting between being an engineer and being in close proximity to combat is pretty strange.

Can’t remember exactly but that show combined how the first book ended and the beginning of the second book.

Really love the show but the ending was so anti climatic it just made me want to get the books. I enjoy a good cliffhanger but would have preferred some resolution to some of the season 2 storylines we really didn’t get. Maybe that’s how the books line out but finish the story and then tease the past storyline going into season 3.
Overall still one of the best shows out there for me but just let me unsatisfied with the ending.

E10 was awesome.
I also wondered if Apple TV skipped to another show at the end. That was very unexpected.
Happy to hear the new season is already being produced.
Excellent show. Highly recommend

As a book reader that was essentially the start of book 2.
I think I remember checking to make sure I was reading the right book to make sure it was part of the series

Is the safeguard procedure initiated by the AI or the people inside the SIlo?

The AI in response to conditions in the Silo, but what I don’t get is why it takes so long. If they aren’t turning the light on the key for the Head of IT, what’s taking so long for the poison gas?

Do you want the legacy?
I can make you the IT shadow but you have to decide if you want the full knowledge

Those did route clearance (IED hunting) in Afghanistan and Iraq for the last 20+ years. Very close to combat.

It's so wild to me how many of these shows come from the book world. There's just so much out there. Just looked them up, looks like they came out between 2011-2013.

You responded to me. Perhaps others don't know.
I had a conversation with one of my coworkers a few weeks ago and he didn't know what AIT or MOS was.
Not everyone has this stuff in their head, including the show-runners imo.

Ah... good point. There's a lot of basic stuff shows and movies royally screw up when it comes to the military.

I have a question about Solo/Tommy…
He mentioned to Juliette that his parents somehow made it safe for people to go outside and that they didn’t initially die from going outside. I’m not sure I understand this…
I understand that the 51st silo has control of the other silos and can poison air when needed, but can they also pump poison into the outside air??
