Agreed. It really was a brilliant way to redeem Erlich, break him down and make him human again

I have a feeling the stock will plummet (are they even publicly traded yet?) And Erlich will do something to bring up the value tremendously.

They just launched the product 10 days ago. Not even close to being public yet

Great episode again. Jared's "did..did someone do that to you" was fantastic

Only part that bothered me was Erlich not asking CJ the simple question "what rumors did you hear?" The way it played out makes people feel sympathetic for Erlich for once, but he didn't think to ask that basic simple question??

Jared, are you okay?

"It's just so many emotions -- the board seat...

I feel regret...

And glee, that you would choose to honor me...

And terror, about not living up to your expectations...

And compassion, for Erlich's loss...

[starts crying]

OOOOH, Donald! You've come undone!"

I don't see creditors moving that fast. Certainly he could of just filed bankruptcy as a last resort and paid his obligations after the IPO.

Anyway, it pissed me off, as well. But he's got a great job and gets to stick around.

A company like that is years out from an IPO. Pretty sure they haven't even done a Series B yet.

What I think will actually bear fruit financially is his 50% stake in C.J. Cantwell's blog. By falling on his own grenade, he got that blog exponentially more hits than it every would have otherwise - she will get a whole hell of a lot more press, more contacts, more sources, etc. because of his story.

This episode was my favorite since the season 1 finale. Coffee scene had me rolling.

I kind of thought he was gonna have that "Aha!" moment when he was bantering with CJ about owning 50% of the blog. Like "wait, I don't have nothing I can make a ton of money off this!" type of thing.

Does he just own 50% of the tech blog? For some reason I thought he bought it outright before him and big head went under.

Didn't they spend $500K on it? Seems like if his total debts were $713K than he could have sold the tech blog and at least gotten a large chunk back.

He overpaid for the tech blog to shut CJ up about Big Head being her source.

still though, couldn't he have at least halved his $713K debt by selling it off?

Great episode. Although gilfoyle is such a bad actor

I agree. He gets away with it in this show, because that's the character but I find his one in one interactions a little painful.

I wonder how much of a pass gilfoyle gets just because he was bill on freaks and geeks. I feel like people's sentimentality is clouding their opinion sometimes.

That's his character, he's dry as a bone and he plays his role well. I get that. But that doesn't mean we can't criticize the characer. He does have some good one liners and I love his interactions wiht dinesh, but I mean honestly is he a good actor? That post got 25 downvotes for some reason. It's not like it's some insane accusation.

He plays bone dry as well or better than TJ Miller plays self-absorbed. As well as Zach Woods (Jared) plays a beta... not everyone is drawn to the super dry personality but those of us that are find him brilliant.

Did anyone not think the ending scene of Dinesh singing Pied Piper at karaoke was a perfect ending to that episode
