That would be too much like Big Bang Theory. I like the working relationship they have (or had?)

Ehhh, I don't hate Gavin. I think he's hilarious. And I think he actually likes Richard. They've got to find a way to keep him in the storyline and having him come in to run Pied Piper is the best way to do it. Hell, maybe he won't run the business, but will serve as a kind of guru for Richard. After all, they both got bounced out of companies that they founded. Maybe Richard and the Pied Piper team will spend the next season scheming to get rid of the CEO they get saddled with.

Or we could stay in the real world and not have a smoke show end up with a dweeb like Richard

I love how for what is basically a comedy it has the drama that gets me legitly upset or happy over certain things. For me this show may be the best thing HBO has going for them and i'm a huge fan of GOT

As much as this board would hate to admit it, this show is pretty much just like BBT, only much raunchier.

Um, no. Not at all. If all you see is nerds then you are missing everything about the show that sets it apart.

Just a horrible, horrible skin deep comparison.

How are they even remotely similar?

Peter Gregory fascinated by Burger King.

Business Insider published a very touching obit article not long after Welch's death. The pic with his daughter really got to me.

Said millions of BBT fans.

Coming up with a formula to determine whether jerking off hundreds of men in a limited amount of time is possible? Doing a SWOT board to decide whether or not to tell someone of a possible fatal error they have made?
Yeah..... BBT has never done anything like that on a much more "network tv friendly" level.

Maybe I exagerrated a bit, as the shows are not "just like" one another, but the comedic formula for many of the jokes is extremely similar. Nerds use nerdy ways to come to conclusions for ridiculous hypotheticals. Obviously, there is much more to the story arc on SV, but honestly, I've almost completely stopped caring about whether PP succeeds, or not. The "redeem the failure of last episode/fail again at something else" that occurs EVERY single week has grown tiresome. I appreciate the show for what it is good at doing... Which is making me laugh.

Sorry that a show you enjoy shares similarities with one that is popular to hate.

They both use nerds, but the shows are much more like their creators other shows than they are similar to each other.

Thanks for the heads up. I just ordered that shirt. I get emails from Ript every day because I've gotten stuff from them in the past, but I don't always look at them
