Surfer was one of the best parts of the movie.
I agree Reed was flat, but I think that was by design. If handled right it should be a Tom Holland Spider-Man sort of growth.

The aesthetic was great. Galactus looked good.
Galactus went down like a chump to the girl boss.
Female surfer.
Some cheesy stuff but that’s alright.
Pedro was not great casting but didn’t ruin it for me.

it's from a channel I follow, so there's that.
Also, what do you think of the story? The numbers are pretty horrific. Not just for FF, but the entire MCU as a whole.

I don’t care what the numbers are and didn’t watch your video.
I recently watched most of F4 and thought that it was decent to pass the time. I wouldn’t spend money in the theater but decent enough to stream.
I don’t like comic book movies in general and have watched probably 5 or 6 marvel movies total.
In spite of that I would never waste time though watching YouTube videos of people watching a movie that I didn’t watch telling me not to watch it.

I don't care. Still. And this wasn't a review video, but a report on the numbers FF had on D+ streaming.
It ranked other like movies, from The Eternals, Guardians 3, Antman - Quantumania, etc... and FF was the least watched of all of them.
So when Hollywood goes bankrupt in 10 - 20 years and is fully replaced by Netflix, Prime, Apple or whatever streaming outfit comes down the line, you'll know why.

He's also obviously obsessed with these movies despite never seeing them. It's one thing if you don't like the direction the movies are going or just plain don't like them. But the dude needs the movies to fail like a crackhead needs their next fix.

Watched it the other day.
It was good. Not great, but definitely better than a lot of Marvel offerings of late.

I find the topic interesting because we always hear how box office flops are not really flops because streaming (from both the studios and the defenders of the studios on this board). Here we have a movie that is a flop in every sense of the word but one that certainly doesn't deserve to be below something like The Marvels. I would watch another F4 movie in this universe, maybe even in a theater this time.

So many bad movies are made and discussed. This was really easily the best Fantastic 4 movie made so far. It was a decent superhero movie and worth a watch. But you make up your mind without actually viewing the content. Again.

It’s not going to change the numbers or how bad these movies are. I’ve already documented how many of the MCU, DC movies I’ve seen, which is probably more than most. But there’s a demarcation line of woke and trash that I will not cross. Until they start making proper movies again, count me out.

I thought the 50s aesthetics were awesome. However, I thought it was pretty boring overall. The actors were flat as could be.
