Yea I don't see her blaming Jimmy. Wouldn't really be fair to Jimmy. She'll maybe tell him that his method made her get too attached to a client but I doubt she truly blames him.

I think the season has really been about taking risks and pushing outside your comfort zone and this is really the first hurdle that has resulted in doing that.
Thematically, I think it works because it’s true to life. You can push beyond what you are comfortable with and grow but there is often damage done in that. Not all growth is good growth. Not all explorations lead to gold.
The “Jimmy Method” is, from a practitioner’s standpoint, fraught with peril. He has gotten the shite kicked out of him by his patients’ behavior.
Gaby wants to be involved with trauma victims but this is going to make her question that.
Is this set back what she needs to pull back and be content with Paul’s Practice, or is this set back something she hurdles and reinvigorates her desire to work with patients suffering from more deeply traumatic issues?

Christa Miller looks like Caitlin Jenner now. There’s a bunch of transition/morphing videos of her face over time. It’s pretty sad. She used to be really cute.

She looks like every other 60ish year old with money.
She’s just old, guys. Yeah she’s had work done but yall act like she is the crypt keeper. She looks like her peers.

LOL'd a couple times last night.
At the beginning when Jimmy and Paul were having a session with Gabby and Paul has on the slime green Jordans. Jimmy was like "Well I'm here for you, I don't know if Paul is, he looks like he's got a pick up game he has to get to".
Then Derick giving advice to Jimmy on his date. "Just remember, the first stop on her train, needs to be downtown."

Yeah a pretty decent episode. Jimmy counseling Robin was funny.
Also, was pretty spot on with my analysis after left episode so that feels nice.

I was expecting tonight to be the season finale but it looks like that is episode 11 next week. I’m glad, because that would have been a terrible way to end it. Best part of the episode was Derek overhearing Jimmy and Paul’s convo.

For some reason I thought last week was the finale so I didn't even get on Apple. That's good because I was thinking it was a very unresolved way to end a lot of things. I guess I was thinking that because Apple is the only streamer that weirdly has 9 episode seasons for their many of their shows.

You had to walk by THREE bathrooms to get out here!

Love the show, but I thought it was lazy writing with Jeff Daniels leaving and the way he told her
Also Segel is an idiot for dumping
The hot blonde. She’s a dime
Just an FYI, the plastic surgery neighbor wife is married to the creator and writer. That’s why she got the role

To clarify, maybe it was bad acting on Jeff Daniels but the day of and everyone’s about to get ready and go to graduation and he’s just like “hey kid won’t make it gotta go fishing”
Nobody does that

I know this is the intention, but I’m finding Jimmy more and more unlikable.

I feel like he's come full circle from Season 1 to now- he's back to where he started as a miserable person in a terrible place. I didn't see this season arc for him, but I hope that he gets some closure next week and Season 4 can be moving on like how Season 3 appeared to start.
Now I'm wondering if Jeff Daniels is a rewrite to end Season 3 since they renewed for Season 4. It was only supposed to be a 3 season show from the beginning, and it was starting to wrap up nicely until Jimmy's Dad showed up and got him all in a tizzy again.

Same. He’s such a pussy. And he dumped the dime piece

quote:I agree. I think the writing was very forced with his character and I also agree with the other poster that this may have been a result of extending the series to a fourth season. Instead of wrapping it up in these last few episodes, they likely felt the need to introduce more conflict to carry another season, hence Jimmy’s daddy issues. I’ll still watch and enjoy the show, but I may have preferred the intentionally planned 3 season story arc.

Yeah, I guess they will stretch out Jimmy going to see his daughter in college, him traveling and making up with Harrison Ford, and closure with his dad
I think Harrison Ford is my favorite character so I hope he is in every episode

I still can't believe Jimmy told Paul that he slept with Meg. Wtf?

100%. That was the issue with Ted Lasso. Great story and it started to get old.
I love me some Ted McGinley so more of him
