It just feels like they are using the kids. If that makes sense.

They are nothing like the St. Jude commercials.

That one little kid that did most of the talking in their ads for years is almost grown. He's still in the new ads, but it feels like he's only there because they haven't settled on another little kid to replace him.

They've gotten old.

Fox News and Fox Business uses them for fill and as public service good deed announcements ... but they've gotten really old.

They try to tug at the heart strings a little too much.

Same thing for the St Jude commercials and ASPCA and Jews in Russia commercials. I've gotten to the point where I either mute or turn away or change channels.

I finally figured out I was watching too much TV.

My wife and I have given so much over the years we're now on every schill list known to mankind. The junk mail begging for money over the holidays was out of hand .... whole entire forests were killed making the paper.

The newest one I just recently saw with several kids pitching their fundraising ideas was horrible. It reminded me of that weird Elsa/Spiderman smut you see on youtube.

I used to think that was the cutest little kid, but now he’s kinda creepy - still looks almost the same but is sprouting whiskers and has a deep voice.

I always imagine his disability is that he's a 45 year old man trapped in a child body.

I’m so glad this thread was started by someone else than me The Christmas one just creeped me out and I felt bad thinking that way

Exactly. Nothing against those kids or Shriners Hospital. They do good. But that commercial was just creepy.
