We also need an explanation for the blood under John Keene's bed (which is clear that Ashley has something to do with that).
I just think Ashley and Natalie had a fight, probably about John. Natalie bit Ashley and Ashley retaliated in some way that caused Natalie to bleed.

I have to say, I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. I think they did a phenomenal job with casting, and the right setting, and even though I haven't read the book, it seems like they nailed transitioning the material to 8 hours of HBO.
Another great example of an actor/actress portraying such a terrible, bad person so well, as with Patricia Clarkson.
If anything, this series has gotten me so primed up and ready for TD3, and if it can turn out to be even on the level of SO, I think it will be great. From what I've read, Pizzolatto has really put in the work to give Arksansas/the Ozarks a distinct flavor for the area in the same way that was done with Louisiana in TD1.

I’m about to mention the book, which I did not read, and nothing I’m saying is a spoiler.
I was told by someone who did read the book that they have no idea how they are going to fit the rest of the story into one episode, and that my theory (similar to yours) doesn’t even touch the surface as to what we are about to find out.
I’m pumped!

I don’t think it’s Adora either. I think she knows a lot, but I don’t think she’s the killer. I think episode 7 was one giant red herring.

Word to the wise for Sharp Objects fans: watch the finale all the way through the end credits. All the way.
Had a sneaky feeling that they would do this. I hate this idea.

Giving this the ‘ol Sunday bump for the finale tonight.
Looking forward to it.

Curious to see how they tie everything up. Will have to be a lot of detail packed into one episode even if it is a long one.

Supposedly, a lot more happens. Even a change of locale for a major character

I'm psyched out of my mind for this.

Says 9-10 on my guide. How are they going to pack everything into an hour...

I’m quite surprised it isn’t running 1:10 - 1:15

Including a “ previously on” and the minute and a half opening credits.. we get another 50 minute episode/finale
