Have finally started to dip my toe into the show, starting with S1. Glad it’s getting high marks for the second season.

Enjoyed Silo, so hopefully the trend continues.

There’s kind of just nothing like it. I hope you enjoy it.

Good luck.

IMO it and The Penguin are the top tier of the last few years.

I struggled through season 2 of Silo, but got there. Severance is a much better show, but it definitely takes an open mind and they’ll be times you’re not sure what the heck is going on.

The Penguin was outstanding and Silo is good enough to keep my interest, but I just can’t get into Severance. I feel like I’m missing out on something for not liking it but after the first 3 episodes, I just don’t see what’s so great about it.

I suggest pushing through, I think even iwyLSUiwy, who is highly respected around here, didn't really get the hype until maybe E5 or so - you'd have to ask him for clarity though.

I also understand that due to it's nature as a dystopic, mind-bending type show, it's not for everyone. I liken it to The Leftovers in that regard. I can understand why someone would not be interested.

Can I suggest that since you only watched 3 episodes you don’t have the slightest clue what you’re talking about?

The 3 seasons of The Leftovers were the HBO Gold Standard not that long ago.

It was 10 years ago.

I will say again, if you enjoy The Leftovers, you should continue with Severance.

Instead of talking to me, watch another episode.

Even SEK was saying he's going to watch the show.

Starting episode 4 now, I’ll get back to this thread when I’m done with the first season.

To me the show starts to get great in the second half of the season. It just turns into a whirlwind of questions and answers and more questions.

That's my favorite show of all time. i can't say that Severence hooked me from the beginning like The Leftovers did but enough of the guys that post in this thread praised it enough I was going to at least give the first season a full go. 3-4 episodes in I liked it, but didn't by any means love it. The next episode or two picked up and the final three episodes are just a straight up roller coaster ride. The season finale being one of the best I've ever seen. Jaw dropper.

I said while watching it for the first time though that this show isn't going to be for everybody. You have to like weird, which I do, the weirder the better. But you also have to like weird and not care that you don't really know anything for the majority of the season.

I watched almost the entirety of season 1 when I was off for MLK Day on Monday. Ended up with another day off due to the weather but was able to watch last episode of season 1 and within 10 minutes start season 2.

Suffice it to say, it has become my favorite show of all time already. Hence the avatar.

So like others here, late to the game and binged Season 1... And like others, was debating continuing after the first episode because it was a "WTF did I just watch episode", but glad I continued.

Back half of the Season is
