just rewatched the episode where they first go to the perpetuity wing and his statue was not revolving.
Hmm. Curious what that means then.
The cool thing about lost is you got like 20 episodes a season. I know that makes filler episodes but I guess it’s more meat to chew on.

Sorry if this has been brought up. Did James Egan go into Severance mode when talking to Helly in the season 1 finale? You can see his face/tone change mid conversation. Maybe the second “version” is Kier and that’s what this whole thing is about. Just perpetuating the Egans in these chips.

Just watched that scene and I don’t think so. He seemed the same throughout. He tightened up when the girl came in to get both of them but I assume he doesn’t show emotion like that in public.

Eh. The show runners mentioned after the show that it's more of a freedom thing. She is envious of the freedom that Helly has as opposed to a more rigid lifestyle that she has as an outie. I don't think Helena really "cares" for Mark in any way yet, but wants what Helly has.

SPOILERS EPISODE 3:
Seth was not pleased with DEI Kier. You could tell Natalie felt the same but couldn’t say anything.
Brienne of Mammalians Nurturable. For a second I thought we were also getting a Black Phillip from The Witch cameo until I saw it I was a headdress.
By sheer coincidence I started Godless after finishing that Mormon western on Netflix. I am incapable of seeing Dylan’s wife as anybody but her character in that western. I couldn't tell if she was a cop or security guard. She is definitely going to fall in love with Innie Dylan since Outie is such a loser.
The Optics woman mentioned a guy that comes from the Testing/Export Hall that Irving has been painting. Could be the same guy in the background after the initial sequence of Mark running through the hallways to start the season.
Cobelvig is a loose cannon. Seems she narrowly missed a “retirement” of her own by not following Helena. Not a fan of her demand to remove Milkshake as manager so I’m glad Helena didn’t give in to her demands.
Wasn’t expecting Mark to go through Reintegration so soon. I’m guessing the five brain waves frequencies she mentioned have some correlation with the bins that MDR uses to sort the numbers.

The goat scene was weird and I’m not sure it has anything to do with forwarding the plot.

At the start, i was really worried this would be a weaker setup episode, but damn, that was a solid episode. Mammalians. Export doors. Dylan and his wife. The You You are innie style. Reintegration.
A lot to unpack from that episode.

The belly/pouch thing was a big hint. I thought maybe all of them are clones/reanimated/whatever, but goat-man mentioned he had an outie.

I thought that was a callback to season 1 when Burt told Irving there was a rumor Macro Data Refiners had pouches that grew larva.

I had forgotten about that.

Anybody else notice that when Mrs huang brought Dylan to the security room to meet his wife, and the camera cut to just her hand an arm when she was putting the key card in, that was definitely NOT a child’s hand an arm? It looked like a much older person, almost like it had liver spots too.
I think they see a child but it’s really an illusion

I watched it again and I think it’s her arm. Dylan’s wife also sees her as a child so it would be hard to explain that.

Great catch here. Remember Petey in season one? “What if you’re killing people down there?” Perhaps MDR is the vehicle behind the training room and removing more and more of trainees’ outie frequencies?
Lumon know oDylan and his family desperately need his job on the severed floor. The wife visitation is not a reward, but added stress/desire to ensure Dylan falls back in line. He now knows how important it is to not screw up again and he will want to see his wife again.
Cobel set to go Rogue? Curious what her play is now.
Ricken’s scene was hilarious to me. He was disgusted about the idea of innies in season one and now that his ego has been stoked, he’s all about it. Will Lumon take him like Gemma?

As soon as I saw the paintings I thought, if Severance was on Netflix.

I loved the black face paintings. You could tell it bothered Milkshake, for the first time he let his company man facade slip a little and you could see the real Milkshake. I could see him rebelling against lumon over this.
I might be the only one but I loved that they rang a cowbell. Gonna be using a gif of that for the foreseeable future, would love to get my hands on a lumon cowbell.

I think that is part of Lumon's plan. "We make better people".

I really thought they would do that at the end of episode 8. That scene was really well done, I loved the music and the callback to the intro.

I guess it's possible that Dylan's wife works at Lumon as a security guard, so she could be lying about what she sees.
I feel like that's a bit of a reach but I do think his wife's job will factor into something later. She might be a guard on the testing floor.
