The same reason they didn't bump into a pregnant Mrs Solo during the prequels. They royally fricked every aspect of the original except Han and the millennium falcon (and I can't believe George had the restraint to not throw in a scene where someone was constructing it). They had to leave something not fricked up, or there may have been riots.
Some things belong in the seventies untarnished by the greedy whore that George Lucas would later become. Han and the Falcon are such things.

but I am stating a fact. the prequels are canon.
all the new films are going to acknowledge their existence so I don't know why you'd get butthurt over a Boba Fett movie doing the same.

I love star wars with all my heart...but I do not get the desire to see a whole movie about Boba fett. I wish they would nix this and come up with new characters

Just because it's a fact doesn't make it not shitty. If someone's mom died and you kept telling them "hey, your mom's still dead", that would be stating a fact. But maybe some times you should just shut the frick up.

The Spinoff's are rumored to be back story type movies on guys like Boba Fett or Solo.
Seems likely to me.
