This. Netflix took down all of the great NBC/Universal shows that I originally got Netflix to watch like Friday Night Lights, Scrubs, Community, Seinfeld, Chuck, and Psych.

agree to disagree

It started out awful but really started to find itself towards the end as a solid spinoff

I initially hated the final season but it has grown on me.

Once the caricature of J.D. leaves, the show gets dramatically better. He was terrible in the final season.

yes, the final season, you clowns that try to say it was a new show are wrong. It was Scrubs. It had almost all of the same actors. It was called Scrubs.

JD and Turk were horrible together in the final season. I always have to mention that line from Turk about it being unfair Elliot gets to see JD naked. I still don't understand how this line was put into the show.

The new kids grew on me. When I do a rewatch, I'm actually sad when the show abruptly ends.

Scrubs doesn’t get nearly the acclaim it should. Show is amazing.

JD as not the POV character doesn't really work. By the time season 4-5 comes around, he's basically just there for the daydream sequences since his character growth was basically done. We've done the whole JD/Turk bromance for eight years. He had nothing to add and just didn't need to be there. It was probably the studio who had him there in the first place.

Cox is obviously built for the teacher role. Turk works to bring some levity and get into pissing contests with Cox. Kelso floating around dropping wisdom and trolling Cox. That's all you really want from the original cast.

Then you just have a group of green docs doing the learning/growing up thing. Could milk a few good seasons of TV with the core they had by the end of the last season.

Really hard to watch a sitcom with so many episodes on Hulu due to the commercials and constant stopping of the shows

I don’t think people say that as much as they just say that it SHOULD HAVE been a new show and transition it that way. Putting the Scrubs label on it was dumb and the characters were ruined a good bit (like you said, the JD/Turk thing was no longer funny and just straight up weird at that point).

Hell, call it Interns and be done with it.

It’s legit awesome. I expect you to like it.

Does a great job of mixing serious with funny, and has some of the best music of any show ever.

It is a great show only thing that bothered me in the last season(s) is that JD ended up a caricature of his original character.

Him and Turk IMO were arguably top 5 greatest TV duo of all time from seasons 2-5 but by the end their relationship bordered on weird and was kind of a distraction to the show.

I did actually like the spin off and felt like it was hitting its stride when the decided to cancel.

Tends to happen as sitcoms age. JD is one of the most blatant. Once he didn't have growth to go through, he's really only useful for laughs through the zany and girly parts of his personality.

It's why Cox gets more focus later on. Becoming chief of medicine, learning to play the game, and finding happiness. He had stuff to do.
