I will start with, I enjoyed it. It was overly SJW though. Not too bad, but it was a very focused effort to make it that way. Similar to Black Panther, but I guess it is the age we live in.

Larson does need to work on her Marvel acting, not saying she is a bad actor, but she has not nailed the Marvel world yet. I am sure she will be better in Captain Marvel 2.

Mixed emotions on Fury's eye, but I guess just role with it.

My daughter loved it, so I guess that made it worth it .

It was still selling out theaters here in Dallas.

I saw it Friday and told people the exact opposite on Saturday.

It certainly had some girl power themes but didn't have any 'men are the worst' feminist slant to it.

I thought it was a fine movie. Nothing to really remember but worth the 2 hours of my time.

Neither Captain Marvel nor Black Panther were "SJW" other than that one had a female lead and the other had a African-American lead.

Maybe that came out to harsh. They really pushed the girl power angle a little more than needed. It was not an easy flow, they really wanted to Girls Rule to pop out.

Like I said, my daughter loved it, so I guess they nailed it. She is not a comic movie person.

They can do strong leads better and let it flow naturally, but whatever. Captain Marvel made 10 years ago would have played out different.

It was a good flick though, but a little too much talking which is such a woman thing

I wish it had no legs. I waited to see it and still had issues getting tickets. Had to go to a theater without the reclining seats.

It's just funny to me in this "snowflake" era where everyone is so quick to use that word, calling those two movies SJW propaganda makes you look pretty snowflakey. They are so threatened by a female and black male lead for characters that were created that way before they were even born.

The movie was not at all full of SJW bullshite. I mean, yes, it stared a woman, get over it. But it wasn't beat you over the head SJW. It Was actually barely noticeable at all.

What was noticeable is how terrible of an actress Larson is and how absolutely boring the movie was.

The credits rolled an my first thought was "well that was a waste of time". First time I've had that thought after a Marvel movie.

I'd didn't love it or hate it. I nothing'ed it. It was just a bland boring movie with nothing memorable.

The actual substance of Black Panther isn't what annoyed people. It was the over the top ridiculously stupid reception it got. Kids were getting bussed to see it instead of going to school, and it was treated as if it was landmark triumph and it was hailed as some kind of I don't even know what to call it? Historical importance on film? It was just another marvel movie.

That was ridiculous I admit, it was a decent Marvel film but certainly isn't the best.

But even before the ball got rolling on that, people were hating it the same way this thread is taking shots at captain marvel, using the blanket "SJW" statement.

Of course she does. She can't kill Thanos if she's dead.

Dude, there’s literally two scenes that push any kind of feminist agenda. And I use the word feminist very loosely.

Yep. The sad thing about “the age we live in” is that any time a woman or black person leads a superhero movie, we associate it with SJW’s.
