Like I said before, Nolan's Batman universe screwed any future Batman movies because now people can't seem to suspend disbelief when it comes to a comic book character put to the big screen.
This will change as soon as they're on the screen together. Similar arguments were made for serious science guy Tony Stark existing in the same world as Thor and Hulk.

But based on what is hinted and the armor,
Or maybe with Batman not being a dumbass the first thing he thought of doing before meeting a super powered alien was go, "maybe I should put on a little added protection. It might not help but I rather have it, than not and wish I did."

i think the fights erupt on this board over this because people (at least i am) are tired of constantly having to defend their excitement. its like you alluded to, its become that "friend" that just shits on everything and isnt really fun to be around.
that teaser looked pretty interesting and exciting. do you think people want to hear how awful someone randomly thinks it is? every time something good comes out about this movie, its almost instantly shot down around here. its just nauseating to deal with all the time.

That teaser gave me goose bumps, I can't wait to see the finished product. 2016 can't come soon enough, BvS and USC vs Bama

I know. I'm not excited about Age of Ultron because I don't care for The Avengers, even though I've seen all the films except Winter Solider, but you don't see me going "the new poster for Age of Ultron has left me permanently flaccid."
And the whole "well I'm not a comic fan but I watch the movies" is not a valid reason to speculate on the powers and the abilities of superheroes. Why? Because you're not familiar with the source. And one movie is not enough to explain or use to speculate the physics of a universe that is extremely large and at the fledgling stage of being built on film. People keep trying to say "MoS made humans look like ants compared to Superman." The thing is we never saw any humans that are capable of making humans look like ants. Examples: Luthor, Bruce Wanye, Vandal Savage, Hank Henshaw, etc. But non-comic readers wouldn't know that these people, these humans, have the power, money, intelligence, and influence to do whatever they want.

I'm fine with all that. Personally, my biggest hang up at this point is what are their plans for the future. Young WW, young Supes, old Batman. It makes it where they will have to reboot the JL much sooner than they probably should. You cant have someone "succeed" Batman. Not in this incarnation.

Krypton tech
This will be the key.
Remember, in the Smallville battle, the Krypton-tech armor stood up to some of Kal's best shots.
In MOS, Kal took out the scout ship and it crashed in the 3rd act. Once the Kal vs. Zod fight starts, you don't see it again.
You have to figure that the US Military was all over that fricking thing the second the dust settled, and likely have their "top men" on it (Luthor and Wayne). I expect the Bat-armor will incorporate some of this.

thatd be a nice tie in. im interested to see Luthor's story arc.

I won't be overthinking the tech in this movie.
The movie being grounded in a realistic universe will be the least of its problems.

My hang up isn't even really about the movie. It is DC's plan going forward, and I really, really, really prefer DC over Marvel. They just seem a tad....slapdash with their plan right now.

There was some remarkable imagery in what they showed us. First and foremost, we got a taste of the fight between Iron Man in his full Hulkbuster armor and the Hulk, who is on a full rampage.

They were very careful not to show why or how that’s happening, though, simply giving us a taste of the combat and the scale of the mayhem.

Not to be a dick but do you mind telling us the details of what their plan is? Because I haven't heard a thing about it.

Look, Marvel showed that for these movies to succeed, while characters are important, it is actor driven. Right actor, right role, get people hooked and you are golden. Ironman wasn't anywhere near Cap, Batman, Supes, WW, or Spiderman. Yet he is the character that has driven their surge. Actually it isn't even Ironman its Tony Stark. Long-term how viable is the Affleck as an "old" Batman? And I don't mean how good can he play the part. He might do fantastic. I mean how long before this version has to retire. It is like they have already decided on an early reboot. If they reboot Batman where do they go with the rest of the JL? What if Gadot is amazing and the fans want her for JL2/3 and WW1/2/3, but they wrote themselves into a hole with Bats.
Anything is possible and we know next to nothing. TDKR as a singular storyline is something that needs done on the big screen in some form or fashion. Let's see what the future holds. Ftr, I'm really looking forward to this, and can't wait to watch it. Not trying to piss anyone off, just conversating.

for real. i cant wait for this. i love it when people just instantly rationalize iron man taking on the hulk in huge armor. but batman wearing something to help him against Superman is ridiculous.

If Batman names his armor the Supermanbuster, it'll probably be accepted. It's all about the name.
