I still say that the purgatory ending was solely from Jack's perspective.

I will say, Jin and Sun were away from each other forever, and the scene where they reunited was a little underwhelming. Neither of them could even muster up a tear. It just wasn't as good as I was expecting, the actual scene and the acting.

you guys got all of mine
1) Jack dying with Vincent so he didn't have to die alone
2) Jin/Sun drowning after being reunited
3) Charlie drowning
4) Constant ending "I've always loved you"
and yeah I'll never be as invested in a show as LOST...not even close...haters be damned
I couldn't have said it better myself.

"Live together or Die Alone" or "Live together and Die Together"
I think it's cool that Christian Shephard was a part of the group before the group even met each other. The people he was closest to in his life were in that church. He loved Jack. He loved Claire. Sawyer was the only person he really opened up to and was the last person he talked to before he died.
It was like he was the "first" of the group to live together with them and fittingly, the man named "Christian Shephard" was the one who led them into the afterlife.

By the way, everyone needs to see this (although I posted it here once before). Make it to the very end. It almost fits the end better than Giachino's score: LINK

Hurley burying Libby
this is underrated. that was some sad stuff.
vincent and jack was almost more touching than sad. jack could've died alone on the island but vincent being there kinda made it ok (you know, for a death scene and all)
alex's death for me, was absolutely the most shocking moment in lost. i never thought they'd go there.
also i echo the constant, juliet's fall, ben's "because he's the only one that'll have me" (jesus eff ben's character had some range huh?), sun and jin's death and the ensuing reactions, not penny's boat etc.
i would list more, but i don't want to get emotional.

i also forgot about the exchange btwn locke and jack in the hospital in the last season. emotional stuff.

Richard Alpert's story ending where Hurley tells him his wife is right next to him.

That was actually sad in a way. The Man in Black wasn't "bad". He just had a different outlook.

that's why i wasnt sure. sure it was sad but you had one full episode and bits and pieces of others to see MIB as a character.
i guess to me, i'd rank that moment in the archives of sadness somewhere around eko getting his.

Yeah, and it made me want to root for the Man in Black. If it were just him vs Jacob, and not involving our main characters, I would be behind him all the way. It was a mistake to cast him in such a positive light to where he really did nothing wrong in that episode. All he did was kill a mass murderer who also killed his birth mother. He was doing a community service. So Jacob, after "Mother" kills everyone but he and his brother on the Island, knowingly gives the Man in Black a fate worse than death. fricking bastard.
Man in Black's pride and wanting to exploit the Heart of the Island should have been his downfall. Make him initially well meaning, but then have him corrupted to where he himself accidentally turns himself into Smokey. Instead it turned Jacob into a complete sadistic a-hole when we are supposed to be on Jacob's side. It was an epic failure of an episode.
