y'all really just don't get the term. It's like the one clown in the room that doesn't get the joke, but laughs along and then tries to tell it later. Just quit trying to use it, it's painful to watch.

Just checked my local theater and CM is the only ticket you can buy from March 7th though March 11th. Even thought CM doesn't show before midnight on the 7th (technically the 8th), you can't buy a ticket to another movie - at all- on Mar 7th. WTF?

My local theater hasn't updated any other showings of any other movies yet. I guess Captain Marvel is the only one they're sure they're showing this weekend.

Also, RT told us Black Panther was the GOAT so, I'll take the opposite to mean CM will be amazing.

Marvel is still going to release this movie and they're going to make a bunch of money from it, no matter how hard you tell everyone that you won't watch it because it's mean to white "men."

If this movie is successful, it's because of the outside reasons and not purely merit.

1. Its a precursor to Endgame, a movie fans have been waiting for since the 1st Avengers film.

2. Its being heavily pushed by the media because of an SJW agenda.

I assume you watch a fair share of movies and TV. You should know by now that entertainment in general has a HEAVY LIBERAL LEANING and it's not even close.

I cant change your mind. But you should consider that when Larson made those comments, she was targeting conservative white men specifically (most likely Trump supporter types) just like most Hollywood elites. It's great that you have tough skin, but it's not a reason to deny what someone said is wrong or could detract people.

because her "white male" comments were specifically referencing members of the media/entertainment industry

Well...critics and members of the media, but let's not pretend her problem is with just those white men. Her comments were related to the fact that white men were the majority of the people present at all, not about anything they did specifically.

quote:

“About a year ago, I started paying attention to what my press days looked like and the critics reviewing movies, and noticed it appeared to be overwhelmingly white male,” she said. So she reached out to the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative.

quote:

“I decided to make sure my press days were more inclusive,” Larson said, adding, “it sounded like across the board [women of color] weren’t getting the same opportunities as others.”

Those statements have nothing to do with the actions of other people in any way, and everything to do with her own bigotry towards white men.

critics are members of the media

you can't scream that the media is overrun with liberals and then cry that she was targeting conservatives in the same breath

yeah...I'm not getting into your nonsensical mischaracterizations of her comments

been there, done that

y'all see what y'all want to see

What are you talking about? Her problem isn't with the media. Her problem is with white men being the majority of the people at her comic book movie press tour as if she doesn't understand the target audience of comic books and comic book movies. She didn't have a problem with media being there. She had a problem with white men being there. Why are you trying to change her own words to mean something else?

I'm not.

Her argument was that she mostly sees middle aged white dudes on press tours and at screenings and that there are movies that are not for middle aged white dudes, so maybe the press pool should be more diverse.

And as a rapidly approaching middle aged white dude, I think it is an indisputable fact that there are plenty of movies that are not made for me.

How her comments triggered y'all so much, I'll never understand.
