Larson fricked up, sort of, but this movie won’t tank because of her statements. Her performance will tank it.
If she’s believable as tough, which the trailers have not convinced the audience she is, it will get the repeat fanboy money.
If she’s charming, the kids will see it.
The cat is a big star in the movie.
Either way, if she shines in an ensemble movie, like BC did in Infinity War, fans will want a sequel and get it.
