I will definitely admit I liked Iron Man 3 more than most people.

In fairness, I need to watch Iron Man 3 and The Dark World again to maybe rate them more appropriately.
Captain America 1 has grown on me over time, as has Iron Man 2.

Both the Dark World hate and IM3 is weird. IM3 is one of those films that completely whiffed on expectations and that really damaged it in the end.
As always, I'd rather tier them out:
Tier 1:
Winter Soldier
Avengers
First Avenger
Tier 2:
Iron Man
Thor
Dark World
Iron Man 3
Tier 3:
Incredible Hulk
Iron Man 2
There isn't much distance between tier 2 and 3.

I think it would be more fun to include Spider Man and XMen to the rankings. I know it's not part of the MCU but it's still Marvel.

Not only that, but it has legitimate impact on the universe and it features Cap as a growing character, which is awesome.

I really wanted to like The Dark World but I just didn't. I think I don't care about Thor enough to see him in a standalone movie. I thought he was great in Avengers but his standalones are just lukewarm for me.

It's all about Loki. One of Marvel's most interesting characters and Hiddleston is awesome.

Exactly. It's easily the best climax of any of the Marvel films while still leaving the future ambiguous.

I agree with that. I just wish Thor wasn't so boring. He's the most powerful member of The Avengers and he's probably the least popular.

Idk. I just didn't think it was a very good movie period. I'm willing to give superhero movies A LOT of leeway because I love the genre but I thought the end credits cutscene was the best thing about The Dark World.

Exactly the same for me, except switch Cap 1 and Thor 1.
