John Ratzenberger as Cliff Clavin.
This one is legit.
ETA: And Kelsey Grammer as Frasier Crane.
I can honestly not see anyone else playing those roles nearly as well, or making those characters iconic.

Solid selection. Solid

Anthony Hopkins, Hannibal Lector.
Who could play that role better?

Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela. Too bad they wasted that on the rugby movie. :bang head:
Stiffler as Stiffler
Lee Ermey as Sgt. Hartman in Full Metal Jacket
Russell Crowe in Gladiator
Steve Buscemi as the creepy weirdo in every movie he's played the creepy weirdo (Billy Madison, Con Air, Lonesome Dove, etc.)

Yup, I'd add Peck as MacArthur. These were both big deal roles for a whole generation.

As well, I can't not picture him in this every time I see him.
How about Forrest as Idi Amin? That was frightfully played.

I have no idea if this counts since it's just a voice, but I can't imagine Darth Vader's voice being someone other than James Earl Jones'.
Bruce Willis as John McClane.
I think Arnold as The Terminator wins the thread, though. Again, not an Oscar level performance, but I can't imagine anyone else doing that role. It was meant to be.

Timothy Olyphant as Agent 47. Can't think of anyone else who could nail the guy's every mannerism. There were times I thought I was playing the game.

I must have skimmed over it bc there no way Hugh Jackman as Wolverine hasn't been mentioned. I expected it to be in the first reply.

I kinda think Jackman is not a natural Wolverine. He's taller and thinner and not as rugged as Wolverine would be. He's good in it now, esp since it seems he's been juicing but it doesn't seem as great a fit to me. Maybe bc I was a comic nerd for years

Alan Rickman is snape. Which is funny, since he's quite different than the book shape. But seriously I couldn't imagine anyone else in that role.

I'm not saying there aren't some great performances listed, but don't confuse a great performance with a "born to play" role.
Or we could just continue like we have been doing in this thread without your assistance.
