Road House remake starring Jake Gyllhenhall filming at UFC event

After the real weigh ins for the Jon Jones fight, Conor McGregor came out and pumped up the fans and they changed signage, then Gyllhenhall came out and fake slapped his movie opponent.

Note that the signage said UFC 222, which was 5 yrs ago, so I assume this is a flashback type scene to set the stage that "Elwood Dalton" is a former championship contender in UFC and is now probably down on his luck working security at bars.

Gyllenhaal is set to star in a remake of “Road House” for Amazon Prime.
According to a synopsis, the movie will be “a reimagined take” on the 1989 film that starred Patrick Swayze. “The Bourne Identity” director Doug Liman will direct.

I have a hard time believing modern Hollywood will be able to replace Swayze, Lynch, Elliot or Gazzara’s performances from the original. I like Gyllhenhall but he’s miscast in this role and the supporting cast looks worse.

Going to treat this like several other remakes, and act like they don’t exist, because they shouldn’t.
