It wasn’t Ordesky, it was Bob Shaye.

Certainly is plausible, but I don't know the validity of the story. Easy to project that sort of animosity being a motivating factor, but the way Hollywood is, it could just as easily have been a tip of the hat to him. Or done as an insult, which Harvey mistook for a compliment.
Harvey - Get me in that movie!
Peter - OK, I can make you an CG Orc.
Harvey - I love it! Thanks!

More autistic detail on why RoP absolutely blows.

Well Jackson likely won’t ever directly admit to it, but in the Extended Editions extras he goes to town on a certain producer who wanted to make it one film. He’s clearly talking about Harvey. And again, I was briefly in the industry and knew of at least three major allegations against Harvey, which were about Jennifer Lawrence, Blake Lively, and Gwyneth Paltrow, and Gwyneth was Hollywood Royalty and even she didn’t get past Harvey. Everyone from PAs to A-List Producers knew who Harvey was in that town. Some of the first advice you were given in Hollywood (if you were a woman) was to never take up Harvey Weinstein’s invitations to the Four Seasons. In the very least on the cast both Elijah and Liv knew of Harvey’s reputation. Honestly while I’ll give Orleando Bloom a pass since it was his first major film, that entire cast knew who Harvey was, but Elijah and Liv definitely knew who Harvey was.
