Prometheus is one of those movies that I like more as time goes on. I HATED it at first but I was kind of looking for Alien 0. Once I let go of that I was able to enjoy it as it's a fairly well made movie, particularly by today's lowered standards for these type of projects.

I enjoyed the movie, but couldn't get into the Alien movies. I'm 25 so they're a bit outdated for me and I can't stand watching any old sci-fi/horror movies at this point with their now outdated special effects, other than the original Total Recall.

Man, Alien holds up so well though. And there aren't many special effects outside of the chest-bursting scene and the xenomorph itself. It's just a really great, suspensful monster movie. An all time classic.

To each his own though.

I'd like to see a Predator/Alien/Star Wars crossover

Throw in a Star Trek in there and I am sold.

Star Trek + Horror brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "To boldly go where no man has gone before."

Bet there are some fan written pieces doing exactly that with some illogical plot devices to get fan favorites among all generations in the same story.

Title revealed

All well and good, except that in a recent interview with HeyUGuys, Scott revealed the sequel’s title to be Alien: Paradise Lost. No mention of Prometheus (and any negative connotations that audiences may bring along with them) and an obvious tie to the hit Alien franchise. Maybe we’ll be getting closer to the Xenomorphs sooner than we thought?

He can't do that....if it has nothing to do with Aliens, he'll have an even bigger shitstorm.

I don't think he will be alive long enough to make a fourth movie. Prometheus came out in 2012 and its sequel isn't scheduled for a release until 2017 - at which point Ridley Scott will be 80 years old.

I thought Neill Blomkamp was making an Alien movie as well. This is getting kind of confusing.

Damon Lindelof has done the impossible. His confusing scripts are now affecting the real world.

I mean, it sounds like they're going the Star wars route. They're just releasing movies from different time periods. Kind of interesting, I guess.

Blomkamp's movie is supposedly Alien 5, but it features Ripley and Hicks in the concept art so it would have to be set somewhere between Aliens and Alien 3.

I'm cool with that as long as we get a good amount of Aliens in Scott's movie. But I highly doubt that. I was looking forward to a new Alien movie.
