He at least knew something was happening. The amount he knew could be up for debate.

Something that just occurred to me is how did he know about the flash drive? The other guy had to have told him.

Yeah, so the chief or whatever his position was wasn't really involved in it but knew about it and didn't have many options, right? Bummer as he was pretty likeable throughout the movie and then you think he's in on it only to find out he was screwed.

People being likeable and yet still very evil was a major theme of the movie. That guy was in on it too. I thought Wally must have killed her. Summer was so violently killed JT would have had blood spatter, torn cloths, sweat, etc., and he didn't. I think he killed Eli too. I can't remember if the cop that pulled over Benecio had a limp but interesting theory. There could have been two people that killed summer also. Great movie.

Modern day Noir. Pretty good. Mini twist at the end while not huge, twisted it up just enough where it wasn't anticlimactic.

Michael Pitt is a really good actor too. It's a shame everyone he works with calls him a complete a-hole to such a degree that it's almost ruined his career.

i cant see him as anything other than that annoying role he played in Dawson's Creek.

Watched it last night. Really enjoyed it. I just love watching Benicio on screen. Dude is so intense. Best in the biz at roles like that.

I thought JT held his own fine enough.

Michael Pitt was creepy. Great acting.

Cool throwback seeing Silverstone. She still does that weird thing with her lips.

Always nice to see some alum from the Wire.

Liked the twists, and suspense. And the soundtrack.

Honestly, I just watched Copland the other day, and they are somewhat similar movies.

Watched this yesterday and enjoyed. Good story, flow and intensity throughout as it all unfolded.

The only negative was the dream scene; a shocking scene which ends when he awakes. The scene would have made more sense if he could not get his gun pulled or could not shoot

I'm surprised at the raves about this.

I mean, for Netflix, it was fine. Kept me fairly engaged.

But it wasn't a very good movie overall, was way overly convoluted, a lot of things went absolutely no where. Pretty disjointed and not well executed last few minutes.

Just watched it. Not sure what the ending was with the wax glove. Was Benicio injured from getting shot at the end? He had to pry his hand open with his gun.

My negative was the black detective... why was he awol at the end? So much screen time to just be absent during the climax. Kept waiting for him to save Toro at the end to close the loop.

Finally got around to seeing this and agree it was a decent time. Probably more convoluted than it needed to be, which bloated the runtime some, but overall enjoyed it.

Also excellent move by the director to have Silverstone showing cleavage in damn near every scene she’s in. Big fan of that clearly artistic choice.
