To be fair to GRRM, he thought they could shoulder it. Then they tanked it when they fricked up condensing the cast and HBO lost interest in spending money when they got Star Wars boners so hard they tripped on their dicks.

Lucas should love it. It gave Attack of the Clones a contender for worst Star Wars movie ever.

He has about $4 BILLION reasons to sit down and STFU.

Yes, the movie was objectively God-awful, but he cashed out.

His opinion is now no more valid than any of us who were lifelong fans that want that abortion of a film to go away forever.

They’re not bad because the storylines are bad. They’re bad because the cgi looks terrible, the dialogue is cringe-inducing, the pacing is all over the place (especially in AOTC), the foreshadowing is so heavy handed that it’s more like telegraphing, and the acting is awful almost across the board outside of Obi Wan.

I'll say, I actually like the prequels less for having the elements of a good story there.

It's more frustrating that a potentially decent set of movies got wasted by terrible dialogue, terrible pacing and an overreliance on bad CGI.

The prequels leave you saying they could be good if they'd just been executed in a completely different way. In a way that's more frustrating.

That's one of my main problems with the Prequels. Obi Wan was awesome and Ewan McGregor did an outstanding job acting and being Obi-wan. I can see him becoming Ben Kenobi in Episode 4.

I couldn't see movie Anakin becoming Vader. They did a piss poor job there.

Side Note: I'm on season 3 of Clone Wars and they are doing a great job with Anakin.

Lemme guess:

Not enough time spent on Trade Negotiations and the drawbacks of sand?

And have I mentioned the dialogue sucked?

TBH, if Star Wars came out today without all the hagiography and cult buildup around it, it would get roasted pretty savagely today.

Well, Disney bought his, so I guess it's something he knows.

I just got done watching the Citadel four or five episode arc with him talking to Tarkin. Very well done exchanges between them.

I hate when creators (GRRM is another good example) shite on what someone did with "their" series
well D&D really did turn the show that was slated to know and the best tv show ever to a show now that is just an after thought......in 2 seasons.

That's really the saving grace with the Prequels. The gaps could be filled.
