I spent years trying to figure out the name of this movie. I loved it as a kid, but nobody seemed to remember it when I'd ask for help identifying it.

That Dodge M4S is still cool as shite to me.

Another very good one, I was going to add it when I finished reading the thread, but you beat me to it.

Ghost and the Darkness (1996)
Critics hated the movie, but I’ve never met someone who didn’t like it. It’s not some profound piece of filmmaking, and Kilmers accent coming and going is a bit annoying. But it’s one that I think really holds up well for being 25 years old

that was the first R rated movie (it's incredibly tame by today's standards) i let my kids watch and they both loved it.

Computer scientist Hannon Fuller has discovered something extremely important. He's about to tell the discovery to his colleague, Douglas Hall, but knowing someone is after him, the old man leaves a letter in the computer generated parallel world his company has created (which looks like the 30's with seemingly real people with real emotions). Fuller is murdered in our real world the same night, and his colleague is suspected. Douglas discovers a bloody shirt in his bathroom and he cannot recall what he was doing the night Fuller was murdered. He logs into the system in order to find the letter, but has to confront the unexpected. The truth is harsher than he could ever imagine...

City of God. Subtitles, but I really enjoyed it.

If anyone liked this film and hasn't seen the Elite Squad films, check them out. They're both great but Elite Squad 2 is probably even better than the original.

They're basically two films by the same director that show the drug/favela issue from the law enforcement perspective.

BOPE's no joke.

Tried to randomly pick some movies from here to watch. Caught Shot Caller tonight since it’s on Netflix. One hell of a rec and definitely deserving of a spot in this thread

The Locusts

Vince Vaughn
Jeremy Davies
Kate Capshaw
Ashley Judd
Paul Rudd

Kind of a weird movie I just stumbled across one day but I ended up watching the entire thing and liked it. It's a straight up drama and has a strange feel to it but I think that's what made it an interesting watch.

If you like time travel movies, it is fantastic….one of those movies that has a fan cult with highly advanced interesting charts and graphs and everything

Probably one of the best “technical” and scientific time travel movies ever

One of my favorite movies of all time

Those are great movies. I’ll give a slight nod to the second one as well. Before Wagner Moura did his Pablo Escobar

I’ll add Stretch and Cheap Thrills
