Nosedive is the name. And I can't agree more.

I've only seen S3E2 "Playtest" because a buddy told me about it. Thought it was a very good scifi mind screwing story.

Really like that episode. Need to give more a try. I'll check out the episodes you guys listed.

Just watch them all. After the first one there wasn't one that I didn't like.

Well, that's a lie. Season 4 had some personal duds.

I hated "Crocodile" and "Metalhead". "The Waldo Moment" was also pretty "meh."

Favorites:
The Entire History of You
White Bear
White Christmas
Playtest
San Junipero
Men Against Fire
USS Callister
Arkangel
Hang the DJ
Black Museum (SUPER disturbing mini-story within this one if Body Horror isn't your thing, but overall great episode)

All of them except for Season 1 Ep. 1 (I don't think it was bad but it isn't consistent with the rest of the series)

The only crossover between episodes have been of the Easter Egg variety where maybe some technology from one episode shows up in the background of another episode.

While this is true, I definitely recommend watching "Black Museum" last because it pretty much confirms that all these things have happened in the same universe and you'll catch all the references and appreciate it more if you've seen them all.

Honestly National Anthem, Waldo moment, and metalhead are the only ones I"ll never watch again because of less than zero interest. There are others I felt fell flat (like arkangel) but will probably watch again in due time.

Most of them though are excellent.

This one just does not fit with the others, IMO. It's just a straight post-apocalyptic sci-fi story. The dogs are cool, but nothing about this was "Black Mirror" at all for me.

Also, OP, if you pick this show up and enjoy it, once you've watched them all you can watch the show Electric Dreams on Prime. It's a similar formula, but based on Philip K. Dick stories and it's been very solid so far.

I think a benefit of BM is you dont' have to go in any order since storylines don't continue over, so you aren't bound to start from the beginning like you do with other shows. With that in mind, if someone has a clean slate and going in totally fresh with no BM experience, it just doesn't make any logical sense to encourage them to start wiht one of the 2 worst episodes.

Maybe I'm biased because white christmas was the first ep I saw, but I mean after I saw it I knew 100% in my mind that no matter what I was going to watch every other episode the show put out until they stopped making them. Someone watching NA first proooobably isn't gonna have that same mindset.

I don’t disagree with you. I’ve just always been a fan of watching things the way they were released in the way they were intended to be watched.

-Guy starts out with one of the great ones and is instantly hooked
-Everyone who starts with S1E1 is let down and asks the board what the hype was all about and if they should keep watching any more eps

I am going in order, just completed season 1.

I like order in my life .

Episode 2 and 3 were much better than 1. 1 was a great view of our society though and wanting to see what we do not need to see.

Episode 2 and 3 do a great job preaching the evils of social media and access to instant information.

Buddy of mine watched all of Season 4 thinking it was the first season because of the way Netflix pulls up the show probably works better that way

Although black museum is not nearly as fun if you don’t see all the little call backs from previous episodes

I did the same thing with season 3 originally.

Really glad I did, too.

Playtest was the most uncomfortable viewing for me. It just felt so unfair. I was glued to it, though.

There are only like 2 total episodes that didn't kinda make me want to die at some point, so it's nice to have a "cool down" show to watch afterwards.

You never start with 1.

That pig episode is a hard watch.

But, they are all hard to watch. I find them interesting but I don't see how anyone can binge watch the show because they are all so depressing.

But, I always tell people to skip episode 1 and come back to it at a much later date.

San Junipero isn't depressing. Neither is Nosedive.
