Why the use of the word modern? U think if she liked 2pac or Warren G she turns out differently?

Please elaborate on your point.

One of the more underrated sequences of the Office:

quote:

Michael Scott: Look, I don't- I don't wanna leave this branch that I love to an outside hire. Therefore, we're going to have a 100-point, winner-take-all, sudden death, Tribal Council round to test the aspect of my job that I think is the most important. Something I call the Bob Hope factor.

Kelly: Who's Bob Hope?

Michael Scott: God! He's- He's a comedian.

Kelly: Oh, like Amanda Bynes.

Michael Scott: Who's Amanda Bynes?

Kelly: She's from What a Girl Wants.

Michael Scott: Oh, I love that movie. Yes. Kelly is right. The person to replace me has to have a great sense of humor. And they have to possess the leadership qualities of a Bynes or a Hope.

Once upon a time, Amanda Bynes was well on her way to being a complete smokeout. She was funny, endearing, and genuinely talented.

No doubt, the Nick machine grabbed ahold of her and ruined her. A complete and total shame. She never had a chance around those pedos.

It’s like in a comedy movie when the hot popular girl that spurned the main character in high school is now living in a trailer with 8 kids and a meth-head husband.

Except its 100% real this time.

How did Melissa Joan Hart make it out of Nickelodeon with a normal life and decent career?

Some people just manage stardom better than others.

She married a dude from Alabama.

She’s a little older than all the stars that are completely fricked up so maybe she missed the pedos.

Yeah I don’t judge the boys and girls that were fricked over by these monstrous producers, especially when they were kids. I judge the parents. Anyone who would hand their children off to the gentle hands of Dan Schneider or Harvey Weinstein (he liked them a bit older, but he fricked them when they were sexually developed at like 15-16) is a monster.

ETA: I am an idiot. I thought you meant her husband was from the country band Alabama, not simply from the state. I had been reading about the band yesterday morning, so when I saw your post my mind jumped to the country group. My bad.

I’m willing to bet the Bojack Horseman character of Sarah Lynn was primarily (in blending with Lindsey Lohan) based on Amanda Bynes above any other celebrity. Spoilers on how she turns out, but I do think she’s one of the most tragic television characters of all time: YouTube

And where Bojack right at the near height of her abuse thinking he’d be the only one still there for her… instead asks her to be on his show rather than help her: YouTube

I thought outside of Hey Dude and Salute Your Shorts, Schneider had his hands in all live action Nick comedies, but not that one. The reason she made it out is Dan Schneider wasn’t directly involved in that.

Is there a running list of these kids that have gone off the deep that could be due to Hollywood pedos?
The Olsen twins, Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan come to mind.

Exactly.

Everyone in Hollywood is aware of all of this.

They are just too fricked in the head to say anything.

And the argument of “that would ruin the kids life” is bullshite.

When Ricky Gervais roasted them at the Globes and mentioned Weinstein and they all recoiled... Well then the curtain has been pulled from Oz.

Its not just him. Its the industry and other producers and actors who don't want to lose their opportunities.

You would think there would be a standing applause for the woke crowd like he was roasting Trump.

But there was a pall, some boos and an obvious agitated Tom Hanks.

EDIT: Finally found the clip. YouTube and Google bury it for obvious reasons and make you jump through hoops to find it. It was Jennette McCurdy.

I was coming to post the video. Look at this article. This is how Hollywood works.

iCarly’s Jennette McCurdy Explains Why She No Longer Acts

quote:

“My mom put me in it when I was 6 and by sort of age, I guess, 10 or 11, I was the main financial support for my family. My family didn’t have a lot of money, and this was the way out, which I actually think was helpful in driving me to some degree of success,” McCurdy told the former Mom star.

She continued: “I ultimately quit after my mom passed away because with her death kind of died a lot of her ideas for my life, and that was its own journey, and a difficult one for sure.”

There is likely a LOT between the lines, there.

If you don't believe me, this is her one woman show:

She also is an admitted bulimic. Eating disorders (on both ends) are major signals of childhood abuse. This fits in with Bynes weight gain, too.

Yeah there are 2 sides. There is the "powerful people" aspect, which is scary if you want to work in the industry. Hollywood is one of those areas where if you want any sort of legit opportunity, one person can destroy your entire career. Hell, I imagine Weinstein could even end indie careers b/c of his power by threatening any financers (both in the US and internationally). If you don't play ball fully, you're going to be dead. You have to be an established star who is above that (like a Pitt or Clooney) and there are only 5-10 of those in the world at any given time.

Then there is the whole "friend" part, which is the grossest. This is your Tom Hanks reference or Meryl Streep giving a standing ovation to Roman Polanski. They really do live in a different universe than the rest of us and somehow compartmentalize all of the abuse. I don't know if it's cult-like breaking down of the individual or just extreme selfishness that allows this horrific worldview, but it clearly exists.

And the Rachel Chandler stuff hasn't even begun to surface, yet. Likely because her trafficking victims aren't famous.

Seems child actors, both male and female, get passed around like a peace pipe.
