Has anyone watched this? Saw a promo for season 2 and it looked interesting. Was thinking of starting season 1. Wondering if anyone had any thoughts.

It starts off very interesting but gets super fricking weird quick. I think season one was good IIRC and it takes a nosedive in season two.

To OP: I enjoyed it a lot. It’s a mystery box that gets pretty weird at times, as others have pointed out. But a lot of those confusing plot lines eventually pay off, and I think the unresolved ones will probably pay off in season 2. I get the feeling the writers are pretty intentional (as opposed to a show like Legion which at times was weird just got the sake of being weird).

It may be loosely connected in some way to the Alien franchise or whatever. There are some interesting rabbit holes on YouTube about this.
There's a thought that the planet they're on is the home planet of the Engineers from the recent Alien movies or maybe it's a planet the Engineers populated with humanoid like creatures and it somehow went wrong.
It's a very good but bizarre show.

Finished up season one last night. As all have said very weird, but I guess in a good way. I'm in for season 2. There are definitely some unresolved things that I hope pay off in the new season.
