They have all the money in the world, but have a Dj at the wedding reception?

I'll second this. Everything about the show is excellent

I took a break but started Season 2 this weekend.

Tom is fricking amazing. He cracks me up basically anytime he interacts with anyone. Absolutely hilariously written and performed.

I really dislike Shiv.

Not necessarily incompetent. Just desperately jockeying for position.

I need to do a rewatch but Kendall was somewhat competent wasn't he? At least when he wasn't all tuned up.

Him and the gutting of Vaulter scene was great.

Yup!

Tom and Greg are stupid good together.

Wamsgans is a dawg - swallows his own giz at bachelor’s party, the hardest I’ve laughed at a show in several years.

She’s got the fattest arse in S2 though, so she does deliver there.

Literally no other redeeming qualities, physically or otherwise, though.

I take Kendall as being baseline competent but more full of buzzwords that he doesn't fully understand that, along with his father having his back, put him in strong positions. I think people like the proxy merger group (remember I'm on season 2) understand they can take advantage of him (and do).

I can see how people say the show is overrated or they don’t like it.

But to me I think the acting and 90% of the writing is just incredible. Making a show where everyone is an unlikable character yet you can feel for each of them in some small way at different points along the way is no small feat.

And then you invariably go back to hating them. There were parts of the show that just made me cringe too.

I agree that the show was more entertaining with time gaps between shows and seasons. From my memory I don’t think I would enjoy it as much if it was a binge watch.

The Tom/Greg dynamic is one of the best in all of television.

Some of the season finales are just incredible though.

Enjoy and let us know what you think as you go.

This. This. This.

The show is one of the funniest comedies I’ve ever seen, the writing is just that good.

Kendall had the foundation to be a decent option but his addictive personality absolutely fricks him running. His constant seeking for the validation of others, largely because he doesn’t get it from his Dad or Mom, just ruins him.

I have binge watched it in the last 6 months or so. The only thing that kind of gets tough is the incompetence of the children. It's just constant rather than week to week, year to year.

Enjoyed the show; never got the fascination with Shiv. She is not really attractive and borderline fat

i enjoyed the discourse around her character because so many people bought into the Shiv girlboss arc. The writers exploited her vanity politics and daddy issues to portray her as the good sibling to the feminist viewer. In turn, people called any criticism of her character sexist

Glad I'm a few years late, now. I can avoid the silliness as I bump this thread over time
