It's when somebody talks in a low volume voice to the point it has like a stream of popping kind of sound. Phillip Seymour Hoffman used to be really bad about it. A lot of airhead chicks that do that going up thing at the end of their sentences like everything they say sounds like a question do it now

Yeah I don't remember him sounding like that in Man of Steel, which wasn't that far from Yellowstone season 1.
He sounds like he always has, just older.

He’s doing somewhat of a Batman voice or a longtime smoker voice on Yellowstone. That’s not how he actually speaks. It’s NOT vocal fry which is what half the high school and college girl population does. Here’s an example:

Nope. That’s just a voice he does apparently. He sounded the same in ‘Criminal’, but I watched Yellowstone 150 on Fox the other night and it was in his normal voice we all recognize.
