Not really debatable. Pottersville looks way cooler and I’d actually want to spend time there. No interest in Bedford Falls, place sucks.

Yeah watched it last night and secretly felt bad that I preferred Pottersville. Looked fun AF there.

Pottersville is a seedy, lifeless, soulless shithole.

It's like New Orleans. I like to visit but I sure as hell wouldn't live there.

Been to Vegas, NOLA, etc... noisy party places aren't where I'd want to call 'home'.

Bedford Falls FTW!

I never lived in Vegas but I imagine there are places to live off the strip just as there are places to live in NOLA outside of Bourbon Street

Not saying I wouldn't mind a condo off the strip, or in the quarter, but not my full time home.

Pottersville in the 1980's is Biff Tannen's Hill Valley.

Give me Bedford Falls where people are decent and care about each other.

I was running the Fed’s inflation calculator during the movie.

“Hey, let’s have my drunk uncle go bring $115,000 in CASH down to the bank by himself. What could go wrong?”

“Do you want a job making $375,000 a year?”
“No way!”

“Hey, can everyone pitch in $3000 to save your mortgage banker?”
“Sure, I tend to always keep $5000 just lying around in my home”

Eta: good movie , teared up a the end; but still

All of Vegas is mostly off the strip. Most people who live in Vegas don't even associate with the strip, that's for tourists.

It's desert subdivisions and a lot of big Mansions. There are tons of people who live in Vegas and never go near the tourist shite except maybe in the old days for good deals on buffets (and the good deals are gone.)

There's nothing crazy about living in Vegas; it's just a big fricking desert and a tiny tiny tiny part of it is full of lights and tourists.

Vegas is more living in Death Valley, CA than living in Sin City...there's a reason they call it the strip...what Vegas is known for is actually a tiny part. Like a theme park.

In Pottersville, I like to imagine Mary Bailey mousey librarian by day and sexy titty shaker in the dance halls at night.

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the inflation post above. That and the fact that George entrusted a blithering idiot like Uncle Billy with the equivalent of over $100,000 in cash.

So Mary's only viable suitors to avoid the shame of being an old maid were...up and coming, go getter and future financial success Sam Wainwright, or George Baily.

And no one else.

Really?
