The dialogue in this show is like a 16 year old wrote it.

Aynsley (yes, that’s how the character’s name is spelled): “But I can do the splits.”
Angel: “Except you.”
Such compelling dialogue from Sheridan. Dude can cast some babes, sure, but he’s sucked since the end of Yellowstone season 3.
I mean that was supposed to be a stupid scene, gotta do something to counterbalance BBT being Socrates mixed with the man with no name the whole show

The depo/lawyer scene was clearly written by someone who has only seen tv lawyers in action.

This is a typical Sheridan show where it’s lighthearted and fun to watch and I don’t take the dialogue too seriously
Man, Ali Larter and his daughter are top-notch
Did they just fly John Hamm and Demi Moore in for three days to shoot all their scenes?

definitely thought we would get more of them.

I live in Dallas and it was on the news that John Hamm and his wife were renting a house in town for 6 months and were always seen around town at restaurants and shopping
Now I’m wondering wtf he did for 6 months lol. Maybe he’s shooting a future project for Sheridan as well

Makes sense as we are fricking watching TV. Damn some of you are overly critical. This is just a sensationalized tv show like all of Sheridan's stuff. Did you not expect that?
Its entertaining and I'm intrigued by his back story and his son's story.
ETA: And having hot chicks in it doesn't hurt at all.

Kinda creepy sexualizing a character that's supposed to be in high school, even if the actress is of age.
being a HighSchool student does throw it off a bit.
but the age of consent in Texas is 17, so I guess technically the character is "of age" too.

CSB:
I have a relative who regular appears as an extra in tv shows, commercials etc. Someone realized how much he looked like John Hamm and gave him the role as body double. Apparently not in this show but for others. He's on screen a lot of times when Hamm's face isn't shown.

I really know nothing about O&G operations, but was that far-fetched that that rig would just blow up like that? Would they not be super cautious and aware of sparks coming off the wrench?
quote:
Its not far fetched that its a possibility. It was basically a gas leak that got ignited by a spark from banging the tools together.
I've never worked on a rig crew out in desert like that, so not sure how much they "cowboy" things out there.
but in any plant, refinery, offshore rig, etc. those hammers (most striking tools in general are outlawed) aren't allowed.
you have to use a brass mallet so it doesn't create sparks for that very reason.
but guys walking around on site without their hardhats, stripping down to win-FR clothing and Billy Bob just lighting up a cigarette right next to a massive blowout shows they ain't exactly following reality.

Well, a cheater wouldn't have allowed Sheridan to show Tommy being the ultimate badass by cutting off the tip of his finger in the ER.
me and pretty much everyone I know have all smashed a finger at least a few times harder than that with a hammer and never lost a digit.

Relax man, I like the show. We’re all just talking about it here. Didn’t realize it had been awarded the Trump/PT treatment.

I met BBT several weeks back. This was before I knew about this TV show. I asked if he preferred his acting roles over his singing career. He said he has been singing since he was 8. Acting was Ok since it paid the bills but he prefers his singing/band career. He was a laid back chill kinda guy.

I'm starting to really enjoy the bartender character. Even though it's just quick little interactions, he's such a smartass that I can't help but laugh.

Considering the raging inferno already going, I doubt blazing up a heater is going to be much of a risk.

I enjoyed the show, sure it's not the most realistic thing ever but who cares. It's funny

Who are you taking for one night between the wife and daughter? We’re talking about in real life, the daughter is 27, Larter is 48
Give me Ali

didn't say I agree with the rules, just that the rules exist.
and they are STUPID at times.
I once was on a job site with what was apparently a magic cyclone fence.
inside this magic fence, you had to have full PPE, FR's, H2S monitor, etc.
outside this magic fence, no rules.
this fence was less than 20' from the pipeline
so a truck was backed up to the fence.
smoke break was sitting on tailgate of the truck. sleeveless shirts, no PPE, puffing a cigarette while talking to the crew working on the pipeline.
another job site our trailer was setup in a lay down yard about half a mile from the actual facility.
weren't allowed to smoke there.
had to go to the "smoke pen". which was a rectangle sectioned off with orange Hurricane fencing.
the smoke pen was inside the facility.
