the voiceovers are so bad
I don't think I could ever watch a movie or show with a voiceover.

I like it, but
the voiceovers are so bad.
Really bad.
The voiceovers are maybe the worst I’ve ever seen in a show yet despite it I still watched every minute of it so far.

Based on the two stronger teams in the super difficult ship challenge, I thought there would be zero possiblity of the weakest team even completing that challenge. Much respect goes out to that team. The girl leader on that team was a heck of a good leader.

I like the show too, but haven't watched the new episodes yet. But you're right the voiceovers are so strange.
Even the dudes who speak english are voiced over. A lot of dudes saying "Wow he's and so handsome, and what a great body."

I like the show but them showing every damn replay 3 times is getting old. I’d rather they speed it up and show more unique content.

100 pound boulder
I thought that was by far the toughest (and most impressive for the final two), but the final challenge might have it beat.
ETA: never mind, looks like the boulders were different sizes between the two challenges. The latter was the 100 kg one

We started this tonight. It’s some fun stuff but those voiceovers.

I love this show. Agree with some that they definitely drag things out and replay things much longer than needed, most episodes could probably be 30 mins or so. I often fastforward through things to keep it flowing better.
Surprised folks are criticizing the voiceovers. I think they’re hysterical. I wish this show came out when I was in college. I can guarantee me and my roommates would be dying laughing at the voiceovers while boozing or smoking during this show. They are so absurd.
On the boulder holding part, completely agree, that was insane. My neck and shoulders were cramping just watching them, absolutely nuts. The rope one was also the biggest layup ever. I bet that rescue dude could’ve stood on that rope for hours.

Yea I was very impressed by the losing team. They had 4 women, and a guy on 1 leg. Even for the remaining men on their team, they didn't have any big powerlifters or bodybuilders like the other team.

i agree that it's "funny" but i almost feel like it's not supposed to be funny like MXC.
that being said, when Squid Games came out, there was a lot of anger over the American dialogue voiced by real Americans. I think we lose the fact that some of our dialogue and vernacular is not always the prettiest or most even flowed to the rest of the world and vice versa.
it's a bit off putting, but not terrible. the 3peat replays of the same occurrence though is dragging.

Spoilers below
I really wanted the keirin racer (cyclist) to win but now we know that crossfitters are the best athletes...
I was honestly surprised at how well the crossfitters did overall. I suppose functional strength along with speed and endurance in a nice balance was really good prep for a contest like this.
I enjoyed the show, I would like to see a US version.

The team that kicked arse on the ship channel showed it was as much about how you did it as how strong you were. If that girl's team had lifted it like the winning team did, they wouldn't have lost.
I actually liked that they mixed it up between team and individual challenges. They showed strength is as much mental toughness, smartness, and innovation as it is brute strength. Ready to watch the finale tonight.
