Root is definitely at a crossroad. I see her either going rogue bc she is angry at her "God" or she could fall into Harold's view of the machine.

Big as in WxH pixels is fine.

But it's been reduced in quality so that it's only 60 Kb. Normally an image that size will be in the hundreds of Kb.

Very nostalgic episode this week. Back to the old days of just Harold and John.

Btw, I was curious what happened to Zoe. Looks like might be setting up some sort of relationship triangle with John, Zoe, and Psychiatrist.

awesome! PoI is one of the first shows I have ever watched that was extremely serial, but yet I absolutely loved the procedural episodes. In fact the wife and I always talk about how she would like the show to be more like season 1 more, and I have been really enjoying the ride of season 3-4.

Does not matter though, I've actually been craving some of the procedural type stories again here lately, because they have gone so serial as of late, so I'm happy to hear this and look forward to watching the episode tonight!

Fun episode. Fusco showed again why he is the best character on the show.

They definitely need to get Fusco back into the mix. His backstory and character development has been the best on the show IMO.

I think they will. I think he convinced them that it's not their call to try and protect him. The show has effectively used major character losses and additions, but I'm not sure it could survive losing fusco. His character arc and personality, along with his use at times as a surrogate for the viewer, is needed in my opinion. They tried for a while to do that with carter but her character and acting ability never worked for me.

Back to the last episode, though it was nice going back a "procedural" episode I feel the handling of the situation was very poor for them.

Spoilers obviously....

1. Jumping to the conclusion at 1st that the husband was trying to fix the trial bc basically he was probably guilty was very odd.

2. The case was over the min they found the hidden email talking about the dangers of the new cell phone towers. All they had to do was give that document to the defense attorney and the motive immediately changes to a cover up murder.

1. I agree. My wife and I both said, so why are they sure he is guilty? when they were rehearsing.

2. Maybe, but the evidence was probably not admissible.

I think the only reason they jumped to the defendant being guilty was because that's who Zoe said it had to be, and Reese was too hot for her to think straight, and Harold was too worried about his acting skills to tell Reese to put it back in his pants.

Inadmissible or not, they could have leaked it to the press since this was a high profile case and they could have ran with it. It would have definitely caused reasonable doubt with the prosecution.

Apparently the evidence was admissible tho bc the prosecutor dropped the charges and charged the other guy the next day.

What I find odd was Zoe's role in this. Why was she there in the first place. Did the machine contact her? Think something may be up with her going forward.

I assumed they got charges based on testimony of that hit man who would probably take a plea deal. But maybe it was the email, not sure.

Yeah I'm not sure why Zoe was there. I think the show needs her back for an arc though.

I loved how the machine was fighting Harold's efforts early in the episode without him realizing it.

Man. It seems Samaritan has all the cards and slowly team finch is losing steady ground every day. I was really suspicious of Claire when she was shot. Those agents don't miss.

I think Finch really wanted to believe her against his better judgement. Glad to see bad arse Root back!

THAT'S the Root we've been missing all season. That was perfect. She needs to just randomly show up every few episodes and destroy people, reference mysterious missions, and disappear.

Yeah, it's great to see Root kicking arse but it seems that they missed an opportunity for some character growth with her crisis of faith but it seems she's fully bought back into the Machine.

It seems that Harold did at least cover his bases with the tracking device on the computer so he was suspicious to the end.

I would really like to see an episode from Samaritan's point of view. The show is doing a good job of showing that it's not as simple as Harold's "Evil AI" analysis. Samaritan and the Machine seems to have similar goals, they just diverge on how to achieve them and at what short term cost.

I would love that. The episode from the machine's point of view, showing simulations and variations, was phenomenal. We need more info on its reasoning and goals.

I also do think there is room for her doubt. Even if she doesn't believe I can see her agreeing to help Harold and shoot some Samaritan operatives.

don't forget, even in season 1, everyone about Root was an infatuation with Harold. If it means saving Harold, or helping the team achieve their goals, even if it means following the "god" she has lost faith in, she will, because of how much she idolizes them.

Good God I love Zoe Morgan, I really enjoy the "fixer" role and she is a fantastic looking woman. I would love to see some more play with Fusco and the IA chick. We could go back to Fusco and Reese listening to Finch and another cop not quite knowing what the hell is going on. I miss Carter.
