Grosse Point Blank is a good one but I think most people consider that a very good movie.

Die Hard with a Vengeance is every bit as stellar of an action movie as the original Die Hard but never turned into a meme.

The Rock is legitimately a top 5 action movie of the 90s.

The 13th Warrior is legitimately a top 5 action movie of the 90s.

The Simpsons Movie just kind of arrived and disappeared long past the golden age of the TV show, but my wife and I watched it a half dozen times and still quote it to this day.

A Goofy Movie is more rewatchable than its more-lauded peers from the Disney Renaissance (TM).

The Birdcage is fricking hilarious and one of the best movies of Robin Williams' career.

TLDR / Dark City is criminally underrated, and was an unfortunate victim of Hollywood frickery/ theft.

Good call on all your points, Dark City is fantastic. And yeah, while I love The Matrix, it's definitely a complete ripoff/combination of Dark City and Ghost in the Shell. Which is probably a key reason why the sequels sucked.

I think all those movies you listed are probably rated besides 13th warrior But I also don’t disagree with anything you said

Okay then Be Kind Rewind with Jack Black and Mos Def. Undercover Brother. Orange County. Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny.

Or if were saying strictly shitty movies...Dude Where's My Car? Actually, nah, I'd go Jury Duty with Paulie Shore.

And honestly, I can't understand why Snakes on a Plane isn't a constant selection for Midnight Showings - was fricking hilarious in the theater.

Maverick fits the bill.

You are getting downvoted but probably for your 1st paragraph. Maverick was a really fun movie.

Shows how versatile Gibson is as an actor.

Green Room was just fantastic. A big name away from being a blockbuster.
Big Fish is also one of my favorites. Most people I know don’t even know it was ever made.

The Informant. It's a pretty funny satire starring Matt Damon from probably 10 years ago.

I might be a little biased in that pick being that I've gotten to see Mark Whitacre speak 3 times and tell the story. The real life story is a lot darker than the movie portrays.

Others:
Prisoners
The Aviator
Bad Words
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Bad Boys 2 - such an over the top movie, it's incredible

Definitely try Sex Drive (maybe the more edited one)

Bad Words (mentioned already) is great one.

I also slightly recommend the movie, Black Dynamite.

Bad Words is great.

I think along the same vein, Cedar Rapids is underrated.

I think there are fans here, but I've always considered Silverado underrated. Maybe because it was from the 80s when Westerns were box office losers, but I think it should be up there with the greatest Westerns ever.

I'll also add Charade. It's generally considered a great movie by those who have seen it, but I never see it included among Cary Grant's or Audrey Hepburn's signature films.

I always liked Bowfinger with Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, and Heather Graham. Doesn’t seem to get much love from anyone else though.
