Recently watched this (Paranormal Activity) and I'd have to say it's the creepiest movie I've ever seen.
Really enjoyed it.
Also watched Paranormal Activity 2 and I thought is was good too. More of a prequel, I suppose, but I like the way it tied into the first one.
Also, loved the endings in both of these.

I was telling some friends about it and they said The 4th Kind was scarier. I haven't seen that one, yet, but plan to check it out.

To those that have seen both, which did you like more?
any others you would put into this level of scary?

I assume you mean PA. And I liked it, and thought it was a great take on the genre. But as always, I feel like I have to say that the trailers for this movie prohibited me from absolutely loving it. Spoilers.....

Most of the trailers showed her throwing him into the camera, which was the climax of the movie. I couldn't believe that they ruined that by including it in the previews and trailers. fricking bullshite.

Other than that though, I thought it was well done.

I agree, would have preferred that not be in the trailer, as well.

The overall tension these movies build throughout the entire viewing is impressive to me.
I'm really looking forward to Paranormal Activity 3.

I don't know why, but something about the 4th Kind just disturbed me a little and was a bit unsettling. That movie messed me up for a couple weeks, I guess its bc I believe in all that stuff.

The fourth kind is really really good, if you like the genre. PA 2 kinda sucked. The first one was good. I thought the 4th Kind was scarier than both, combined.

Yeah dude, I thought it was alot scarier than PA or PA2.
There's just something about it that makes you get enthralled into the movie and it really really is a disturbing movie, find it and watch it at night! Thats the only reccomendation, is make sure you watch it at night

I remember being disappointed in the Fouth Kind. Paranormal Activity 2 sucked. Hard.

what didnt you like about the second one?

I thought it was good, but not as good as the first one.
Ultimately, I really like how they explain how the demon came to haunt Katie...what a horrible thing to do.
the second one lacked the intensity of activity that the first one had. I think it's an hour into the movie before you get your first real hard evidence of something goin on.

Paranormal Activity > Fourth Kind.

Both were kinda creepy, but PA kinda got to me. Kept thinking I was hearing those damn footsteps for a few nights after I watched it.

Maybe it’s because I’m somewhat of a cynic when it comes to the supernatural, but I saw PA2 the other day and thought it was one of THE dumbest things I’ve ever watched. I almost asked for my money back and was laughing at parts.

****SPOILERS****

I did love when the crazy sister or whoever she was walked in and just snapped the dude’s neck with no hesitation. That was sweet.

I had little to no expectation with the Fourth Kind going in. It was way better than I figured it would be. Plus before the movie got going I bought into the whole "it really happened" thing.

I found the 4th Kind to pretty dumb but it takes a lot for me to like a horror movie though

You went to a movie about ghosts already thinking ghost were stupid?

Yeah, I can see how that would ruin the move.

I wish that I would have approached Paranormal Activity differently. I had seen no trailers nor previews for it. I watched the movie because friends had told how scary it is. The problem w/ that was used the best parts in the movie as selling points.

I don't get people that talk alot of shite about PA 2. It's pretty simple, if you enjoyed the first one you will like the second one. It's not original like the first but it's just as scary. I'd actually argue it's a bit scarier.
