I'm mixed on the show. Here's one thing that doesn't make sense to me.

It doesn't actually seem like a prison. More like a daycare high school for adults.

I understand it's TV but the model is an absolute joke for a Federal facility.

That's kind of what a minimum security prison is. I still have no idea why they would put that crazy methhead in minimum security.

If that's what minimum security prison is then they need to revamp the prison system. Those bitches need to sit in their cells 22 hours a day.

It honestly is a complete joke and makes the show irritating to a degree more than entertaining.

Roll your eyes but that isn't much of a prison deterrent. Sit around, fold some laundry, chatty Kathy all day. Just ridiculous.

Why do they need to do that? They're for the most part not murderers, rapists, or child molesters in there. It's mostly people with some sort of drug offenses or theft in these minimum security facility, which is pretty much the case in the show. I don't see any reason to let them rot in their cells for 20 hours a day.

All I'm saying, I've watched 4 episodes and it's a soap opera loosely based around prison.

Well, they're not in a maximum security prison. It's a bit more lax around there since most the prisoners really aren't physical threats. If they ever become a physical threat, then they're sent to maximum.

Exactly. Everyone on here was saying how great it was so I watched the first 3 episodes and then gave up because like you said, it is a soap opera. I have no idea how men can like this show!

How is this for a plot hole. The most feared prisoner is "Red"...who controls the kitchen. Doesn't kill anybody. Doesn't really hurt anybody. But secretly has a heart of gold. And by the way, hates drugs.

Show is a joke.

You ever been to see Angola? Those dudes live in a Barracks, they don't even have cells in the minimum security prison there

Yeah, you don't know what a plot hole is. It's a freaking comedy-drama series for crying out loud? What exactly did you expect?

I would say you create an atmosphere of respect/feared from all the inmates...to realize she isn't actually scary and is kind of a joke. Maybe not plot hole- just bad writing.

you have to be scary to be respected in prison?
