I had a grin the whole time during the movie when I went to see it. Funniest movie I've seen in recent memory.

One of the best comedies of 2012 imo.

I lost it when the captain is explaining the Jump Street program to them and talks about how the guys in charge are out of ideas so they recycle things from the past and expect everyone not to notice. Hollywood in a nutshell

Not to mention this was a remake of an 80's movie. Basically making fun of itself and Hollywood. Plus it was from the mouth of Ron Swanson so it was even better.

The drug scene had me rolling as well. Rob Riggle is hilarious in everything.

And they are totally making a sequel. Nice.

Fun note: Young Jonah Hill looks surprisingly like Fred Savage.

there was a bunch of self-referential comedy towards the genre. the "shite not blowing up" car chase was another example

I liked it. It wasn't as "OMG HILARIOUS!!!" as some people say (at least for me), but it was pretty funny and enjoyable. I don't really like Channing Tatum at all, so that may be a factor as to why I wasn't crazy about it.

This. Exactly this.

I went into the movie expecting nothing. I left with a lot of laughs. It was a great movie. The chase scene on the GNO with nothing blowing up was hilarious. Oh that's what blows up?

And having the original Jump Streeters was a very nice touch.

Really good movie. Also went in skeptical and came out impressed. I didn't realize this was shot in NOLA until the highway chases. Then I started noticing things more and more. Like the last car chase through downtown

I had no idea what to expect in this, but I like Jonah Hill because that dude brings the laughs in all his movies. My wife and I laughed a lot...I as surprised at Channing Tatum, but he was actually decently funny. It was a good role for him.

Not great. Could have been 30 minutes. But, all in all, not the worst thing you could do for 90.
