Watched Explorers on Netflix with my kids. Both boys and they loved it. It was full blown nostalgia for me.

Singing in the rain. Don't show a 2-year old or a 4-year old all the bulkshit people are suggesting. Too much fighting and killing.

Not a chance in hell a 2 and 4 year old have the attention for most of those movies, probably not the 10 or 12 year old either. Best shot is 20,000 leagues under the sea for the 10 and 12 year old.

Dude, 20,000 was my favorite movie for ever. Kids at my ore-school didn't even know my real name. I was Mr.Nemo. And that was when I was 3-4 YO. The others are slow but maybe that'll teach them discipline. I think it did for me.

What do you tell kids when they ask why Marcus Licinius Crassus asks Antoninus, "Do you consider the eating of oysters to be moral and the eating of snails to be immoral?"

I'll add heavyweights and Beethoven and homeward bound to the list

The old 50's sci-fi stuff.
The Thing (original)
Beast from 50,00 fathoms
The time machine (original)
The blob
War of the Worlds (original)
ect ect...
For fun, try your hand at riffing MST3K style

The scene plays itself out beautifully.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: Do you eat oysters?
Antoninus: When I have them, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: Do you eat snails?
Antoninus: No, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: Do you consider the eating of oysters to be moral and the eating of snails to be immoral?
Antoninus: No, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: Of course not. It is all a matter of taste, isn't it?
Antoninus: Yes, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: And taste is not the same as appetite, and therefore not a question of morals.
Antoninus: It could be argued so, master.
