I thought Tara was gone for a second.
Since she got a solo episode, had nothing to contribute from it, lost her love interest, and spoke up telling a lie to negan.
Also, Glenn who brought her in was gone. She reunited him..job has been done a while. She also doesn't understand the magnitude of negan. Feel like her story is complete..would have made more sense for her to get put down.
As an impact on Eugene and rosita who were there with her, Glenn and Abraham in their beginning.

Uh, Denise died last season when Dwight shot her in the head with Daryl's crossbow.

They will need Tara to bring the Amazon tribe into the final battle against the Saviors. They can't kill Rosita because she's the hottest woman on the show. Storyline wise, I think Negan respects her bravery and that's why he didn't kill her. The audience doesn't care if fatty dies.

And about the mysterious boot guy....
I think it has to be someone from the Kingdom scouting out for other groups.
We forget that Rick and everyone at Alexandria don't know about the Kingdom yet. Only Carol and Morgan are aware of all four groups (Alexandria, Hilltop, Kingdom, and Saviors).
I have a feeling mysterious boot guy followed Rick and Aaron back, saw they are a part of another group under Negan's thumb and will show up after following them to Hilltop to make a pitch for all three groups to join forces.
I've also read speculation that it could be Dwight or Heath or one of the Oceanside chicks.

That's like..4 chicks for every dude. Unless Rick chooses to "liberate" the people earning points. No telling how many are actually there. I take it Maggie will be running the hilltop before long..with all the communities working together..kingdom and Oceanside included, each could contribute and life could be good for a while.

Plus, fatty was the one who kept the detailed manifest of all the guns, ensuring that Negan could be certain he had taken them all, and Rick could know that he'd given them all away and totally cuck them all out.

Really great episode. Are we sure that was live saviors at the bottom of the hill when michonne shot the girl driving? I didn't see anyone moving. Couldve been decoys like mannequins. I know it seems far fetched, but isn't it weird to have 100 people there at a intersection just standing around?

we didn't see Dwight at all this episode so it may be that boots guy was him but there has to be significance to the wire and shite on them, like that whoever it is has been repairing them and thus not living in a place with supplies. Somebody like Dwight would have just grabbed a new pair

Also, two more thoughts:

And second, if you're going to go to war with negan, I think the smartest thing to do is to try to find a way to poison some of the food right before you attack. I also think the smart move would be to try to coax Negan out of his camp again and kill him and his closest followers when they come to Alexandria or one of the other settlements.

It would have made sense for michonne to kill that woman, but did she? I don't remember her doing it, or did it miss it?
I thought she mentioned the silencer so she could have a better chance of killing negan quietly

I took it as the guy who owned the house boat. He would be on land, as his flat boat was on land, not at the house boat.
I wonder why he didn't attack. Maybe he followed rick back and was caught by someone else, IDK.
